Kojima Productions Shows Off its New Game Engine

In this video Hideo Kojima briefly talks about Metal Gear Solid: Rising before demoing the Fox Engine.

Well, pretty clear.... MGS5 isn't even on his mind at all. He's been saying for years he wants to move on. Sad that gamer's just want MGS games. Everything else is just a game.

Konami is the ones that only want MGS games. They also want those games to be multiplatform so it puts even more development time and stress on Kojima Productions.

Konami is following in Squares footsteps. Find a franchise that has a name, milk the hell out of it.

You know very well Kojima wants to make other games and do other things, but Konami is probably sitting there with the "well lets have MGS go to a different studio while you do that" and Kojima would lose his grasp on their wallets if he did that.

Then if you think logically. It's like why not pursue what put you on the map in the first place? Everything else he does, doesn't even measure up to MGS games. That's what 98.9% of people know him for.

There's all kinds of things that don't make sense with him. Like no trophy support for the fastest selling PS3 game of all time in a single day? ( MGS4 ). Like how millions of player's would go back and play it all over again just for that! Or the hundreds of thousands of more copies would be sold. But no.. lets go do something else that barely makes a mark on the radar.

He wants to move on... yet Fox Engine???? LOL. yeah ok. Again, Kojima just needs to stay with MGS games and the world would be very very happy.

well I'm guessing that's the end of ps3 exclusives from him?
this makes me wonder, if the game will look the same on each console, or will he maximise the quality to each console in the best way.

well i never thought MGS4 look that good but my other pro sony guys would eat me alive if i said that but i maintain that its should be talk about graphically as the best ps3 games.

the new game engine looks plastic but hey i never played MGS on PS1 or PS2 soi never fell in love with him like the rest

Well, we will never know now. I can't really complain if the game was design with it being multiplat ground up.

If the situation was like FFXIII, then it's frustrating since it wasn't design with 360 in mind until Wada decided greed is good.

Engine looks fantastic. And knowing Kojima he wont screw up the PS3 version. So its safe to say that the game will look like those shots on the PS3.

The site has mods, and they are busy burying a story they don't want to talk about, which is that the xbox is curb stomping the ps3(and the wii) in sales.
