Kotaku: "These are 2010's biggest video gaming disappointments. Now, before we go any further, know that few of the things we're listing below were terrible. These aren't the worst things in video gaming for 2010. They're just the things that we hoped or expected would be at a certain level of quality or success, but for whatever reason, were not. In other words, a disappointment!"
Ibrahim from eXputer: "The Medal of Honor franchise was once the crown jewel of FPS war games, later defeated by the tides of time and poor development."
They tried to turn it into Call of Duty and it killed it off. They should reboot it and go back to it's roots. But they'd ruin it with online-only/multiplayer style bullshit so why bother? I have very fond memories of these games, but this series can stay dead as far as I'm concerned.
Was literally just thinking of this game the other week with the secret nut cracker mission and the shooting Bismarck dog lmao. Loved these games as a kid
I have fond memories of playing the Medal of Honor Breakthrough MP Demo. It had two maps and custom servers. Living on campus, I had it downloaded on one of the PC Lab servers so I could access it on any computer at the university. Joined a clan and made friends that I still keep in touch with today.
Alan Wake, from Max Payne and Control creator Remedy, is a horror classic, prompting one player to buy 4,000 copies that don’t even work.
Kind of a goody story...
On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.
Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.
Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.
Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.
Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄
So in short she paid $240.00 assuming usd for a bunch on unactivated game codes.
I still don't understand why I guess cause there's not a physical version and she wanted something for a collection or art project.
While FFVII ranks highly, there's more to the series than one game. Here's Chit Hot's picks for the seven best Final Fantasy characters.
All of these titles (except Starcraft) had me saying "D'OH!"
Crackdown 2, franchise right down the pan after the promiaing and still fun original. To add salt to the wound, Prototype 2 being 2 years away.
Starcraft 2? Disappointing? What were they expecting? Starcraft 2 does everything a good RTS needs to do and it did it masterfully. My only gripe is the Zerg feels a little underdeveloped in contrast to the more full featured Protoss and Terran. But there is always "Heart Of The Swarm" to look forward to. Either way I disagree with Stacraft 2's inclusion on this list.
Thanks for delivering, Blizzard.
Starcraft 2? Disappointing? Wow, talk about someone who doesn't know what they are talking about. My only gripe for SC2 is that the campaigns are split but I don't complain because the expansion packs will have a fully-loaded polished campaign for Zerg and Protoss. Now patiently waiting for Heart of the Swarm.
