That sucks, I'm sick of glitchy PC games, but who I'm I kidding? The average reviews turned this into a rental for me...

kevnb4993d ago (Edited 4993d ago )

has some sort of glitches somewhere, the ones in mafia 2 are actually hard to come by. These errors are mostly just pc issues in general, not game issues. But i suppose xbox 360s and ps3 never break down... Physyx is hard to run though, that tweak makes it way easier.
The big difference between pc and console, on console you usually cant fix any issues.

feelintheflow4993d ago

the PC. Thats one reason I don't play as many pc games anymore. Not as comfotable to play on my laptop and all of the problems with compatibility and all the bugs early on. I know the pc gaming crowd will hammer me for this, but sometimes I just want to pop in a disc and play right away, not worry about installing it and upgrading when a new game comes out.

kevnb4993d ago

i would rather worry about performance issues i can never fix, hardware issues that break my entire system and I love limiting myself to one controller!

I am on xbox 360 number two, got it replaced with my best buy warranty about a year and a half after launch, this one is fine, my ps3 is the 160 gb uncharted one I bought two years ago, so I am not worried about that, I am however also on my second laptop, had to send this one in because the motherboard was bad, so I guess you could say I have the same reliability rate as the 360 with my laptop. Like I said, I will give up the higher end graphics to just pop it in and play and not worry about reading the box to see if my computer is compatible. To each their own, just my opinion, not pushing it on anyone. I enjoy my 360 and ps3 controllers as well, no need for anything different.

and it is also a great game, definitely NOT a 7/10 game more like 8.5 to 9 kind of game.

What the stupid idiot GTA fanboy reviewers do not realise is that they are hurting Rockstar games too because it is a Subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive which is also the owner of 2K games and 2K Czech (the developers of Mafia II).

PrimordialSoupBase4993d ago (Edited 4993d ago )

Looks fantastic and runs smooth for me maxed.

Mafia II is a poor open world game but a really great action game. It's not GTA, nor does it intend to be.

Bioshock still looks fantastic, one of my all time favorites.

Yui_Suzumiya454d ago

Beyond: Two Souls on PS3 can compete with modern day graphics.

SonyStyled454d ago (Edited 454d ago )

Same as Killzone 2 and 3, uncharted 2 and 3, Infamous 2, Heavy Rain, Resistance 3

jasonismoney454d ago

I wish this was entirely true, but you might want to load up Killzone 2 and Resistance 3 again.

SonyStyled454d ago

@jason I watched some gameplay videos of KZ2 and R3 on my full screen. They are on par or succeed graphically to the first person shooters mentioned in the article that also launched on the seventh generation of consoles. Try the same and see what you think

cthulhucultist454d ago

Killzone 3 was super impressive! I could not believe the graphics back then as I was regularly pausing the game to stand in awe looking at the surroundings! Resistance however did not impress me that much. Heavy rain is also another amazing graphically speaking game. It almost felt next gen

Fist4achin454d ago

I always thought the first 3 Gears of War games looked great and still hold up for today.

SonyStyled454d ago

They did for their day. I recently played gears judgement with on the 360 and the draw distance was so blurry. The characters up close look great though

JEECE454d ago

Far Cry 2 was awesome. In addition to having demonstrably better physics and AI than later games in the series, it had a lot of design decisions that, criticized at the time, have since been praised in games like BOTW and Dark Souls.

iNcRiMiNaTi454d ago

It might not be super amazing by today's standard but I thought Mgs3 looked really good

JEECE454d ago

In terms of art style it still holds up.
