Hamsterfist.com Top Ten list of why gaming top ten lists are stupid

Hamsterfist.com explores why gaming top ten lists are over used and over rated. Ironically in a top ten format.

exert:

"I have found gaming top ten lists to be highly suspicious and kind of a cheap way to do journalism. Am I am above being cheap? Well of course not. So here is my top ten list of reasons why top ten lists are pathetic.

10. They are just someone's opinion.

I realize that gaming journalism is mostly based off of opinions. Especially game reviews and previews. However how can you say that your list of the most ultimate badasses is the correct list? Shouldn't there be some sort of scientific study of badasses done? Where are the polls and University lab tests on badassery?"

Some people don't use the internet as a battleground of debate, some people use it as entertainment. Top 10 lists are interesting to read, so people write them.

And I've never seen a writer write in his top ten list that his work is the ultimate final say-so regarding the topic. The author in this article just assumed that writers make these lists because they think their opinion is better then everyone elses, which is BS. They do it because people generally find it interesting to read an opinion. Ya maybe their are some elitist a-holes who think that way, but don't stereotype every game journalist out because of one or two arrogant pricks.

You didn't read the list. It is mostly tongue in cheek, and I do understand that top ten lists are entertainment. But to pretend that so and so's list of top ten games is the ultimate list is funny to me. Instead of saying "The Top Ten Games of All Time" shouldn't most lists say "My Top Ten Games of All Time"

Now come up with the top ten reasons my top ten list sucks. Then I can think of the top ten reasons your top ten reasons suck.

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
