Yeah, I'm thinking (praying) it's Mass Effect as well. With BioWare making Dragon Age and all future console releases on the PS3 and 360, getting Mass Effect 1 and 2 on the PS3 seems like a no brainer. I own it on the 360 but would definitely pick it up on the PS3, my console of choice.

I always love when people do stuff like what LONEWOLF just did there: taking what others have said in the past and applying to everybody only to later throw that back in their face and make them "eat those words" when it wasn't even the people that said it in the first place, just he lumps anybody who likes PS3 into a collective, that shows fanboyism doesn't it.

In other words, I'll sit here and say that I'd like to see ME1 or Conviction be announced as the "stolen game". I've said nothing but good things about those games (especially Conviction), even going so far as to say I'd love to see those come over to PS3 so I can play them. In all actuality, ME1 does seem the more likely scenario. Though if that happens, it's practically guaranteed that ME2 is coming to PS3 at some point too.

Just because MS is publishing a game for their console, doesn't mean they own the rights to that game or anything, so it's not impossible for another company to publish the PS3 version. Just like the Ghostbusters ordeal recently, and I know I just read about another game just the other day where there was speculation on a PS3 version coming, but they finally found a publisher for it (forget which game it was).

Like others, have mentioned though, wouldn't surprise me if this turned out to be something like Braid (not that that's bad, just not as big as say Conviction or ME). I hope it's not Geometry Wars though like others mentioned, as we already have Super Stardust.

If it's talking about this year, then it's not ME 2. It could be the original ME though, which actually would be nice. PS3 fans should be warned though: MGS4 will suddenly seem so archaic after you've played ME.

How would Mass Effect make MGS4 feel archaic? I own both games and they are both super amazing games, but I think MGS4 is the better game overall.

How can you really compare them directly though? One is an RPG and one is a stealth action game. The stories told in each game were both fantastic in their own ways.

From a technical perspective MGS4 was much more polished than Mass Effect. The later game was plagued with screen tearing, texture pop-in and slow down. MGS4, on the other hand, had no screen tearing or pop-in and only minimal slow down (mostly during big battles).

So, I still don't see how Mass Effect would make MGS4 feel archaic.

I've always considered Metal Gear Solid an rpg as well, even though it's Mass Effect that's listed under that genre. In truth, they're BOTH third person shooters with an excellent story. But Mass Effect is more involving. Sure, that could possibly be because it's an rpg. But aren't you "playing" the "role" of Solid Snake in MGS as well?

What defines "rpg"? Is it leveling up and experience? In MGS Snake's life gauge would extend after each successful boss battle. Mass Effect and Metal Gear Solid are both "shooter-centric rpgs", the exception being that MGS has always been defined as a stealth action game. There's a sniper riffle in Mass Effect...so "stealth" isn't a genre, it's a play-mechanic.

There's a party of characters in Mass Effect, again does THAT make it more rpg than MGS? In MGS there are various NPC characters that you contact and communicate with. How about Parasite Eve, there were no other party members than Aya, so...? If you want to say that MGS4 and Mass Effect are incompatible that's fine with me. But if you see it the right way, they are VERY compatible. And that's why I compare the two.

The formula is "involvement". And if Mass Effect keeps the player more "involved" than in MGS4, then it's a better game in my opinion.

Your definition of rpgs is quite nonsensical cause the things that you say define rpgs are applied across all games and all games are not rpg.Helalth bars are pretty much a standard in the industry by your definition all shooters are rpgs since they all have a health bar, and most platformers by that matter as well.

Games are defined by their playing mechanic, platformers for jumping on platforms, survival horror for limited ammo, "creepy" games, shooters for well games who only involved shooting and in all of them you play a role, you play as mario in mario bros, you play as master chief in halo etc. The thing that defines an rpg is a numerical based level up system.

Ps. Mass effect only had one thing from preventing it from being archaic and it was its Action/rpg balance everything else bioware have done to death. While Mgs rebalanced and reinvented the gameplay formula albeit not the convoluted storyline. So in general one would feel the other way around after playing mgs4 mass effect might seem archaic.

I did notice on my SO4 package it doesn't have the " only on Xbox " tag which would indicate that it's not really exclusive to the 360, but it is a SE game they have done nothing but take a dump on the PS3 gamer.

I can' it baing SO4. If it had better reviews then maybe but as it stands ir'd be a big risk to expensivelt port it over and if they did the chances of it then coming west would be slim to none-no matter how much the series PS heritage indicates otherwise.

Money wise it would make most sense for a ME1 port, imo, as if they aren't doing it soon EA will miss their chance. How many PS3 gamers would want ME1 AFTER everyone else had played number two and were already waiting for 3? History would suggest pretty few-even Bioshock, a true FPS FFS didn't tear up sales on PS3 with a lesser delay. So IF it's to be ME it would make sense to do it ASAP wouldn't it?

Hope it isn't Braid though-game gives me the creeps in the same way the Childcatcher off Chitty chitty does! The less I have to deal with that nasty effort the better and the fewer [people bringing it up the better too!

These are the two most likely for various reasons:

Mass effect - was mysteriously absent from microsofts famous 'The following titles are ONLY ON XBOX 360' presentation at E3.
- Boiware has been boning the ps3 lately
-owned by EA so is possible.

Its far out but I would actually guess that they bundle mass effect 1 and 2 together because 2 without the story of 1 is useless.

Star Ocean - ps3 owners wanted this from the beginning and felt betrayed when it was stolen from them

I don;t know, I personally never think of games on the 360 AND PC as exclusive for the 360. I play alot of those so called 360 exclusives on my PC (without Windows thank you very much) and enjoy them. I for one never said that I didn't like Mass Effect and I own a PS3. Bioshock was patched twice for the 360, the first time was a month after release and it was for the framerate at the end of the game and it still didn't help.

Ninja Gaiden was patched for the 360 as well.

My personal opinion about Dead Rising is it sucks, bought it the day it came out and regretted not renting it, it was made for HD TV's so the text was too small, the 1 save slot was retarded, and the load times were too long and too often but killing zombies is fun though!

My personal opinion about Mass Effect is it's an awsome intellgent story but the land rover missions are a little outdated.

I think it will be out of Mass Effect & Left 4 Dead 2, just because the past week we heard valve is searching for ps3 devs & bioware seems excited to be working with the ps3. If you notice, they also said that the studio has a few other announcements in store, and I don't think that the man who made Braid had anything else going on right now. That and it's pretty much a given that Blow WANTS to make Braid for the PS3 (he just said he was waiting for the MS exclusivity to run out). While Braid probably will come to the PS3, I don't think it's the title they're talking about.

Could be Mass Effect, because Bioware continues to stir the pot (my money is on that, though the way they keep stirring the pot and then deny it, I could be wrong), L4D, or maybe SO4.

Though, based on some rumors we heard a few months ago, one of the GTA4 exclusive episodes that MS had (Lost and Damned) may be what we're going to be hearing (and it would be a studio, Rockstar North, that has some other things going on that they can announce). After owning a 360 for more than 3 and a half years there are only two 360 exclusives I own on the 360: Halo 3 and Gears 2. Everything else is multiplatform. I first bought Mass Effect for the 360, but it had lots of technical issues so I bought it for the PC and it gave me a much better experience. The only other 360 exclusive that I am interested in that I haven't got around to buying is Fable 2. The 360 truly needs more exclusives.

Actually Gears of War is a great game. I would welcome it on the PS3. And it is possible it could hit PS3 with the 3rd installment, since MS and Epic only contracted the first 2. This may have changed to include the third game but who knows. Anyway my point is I doubt it would be just another game on the PS3.

halo? really? wow, I've never met a PS3 gamer that NEEDED halo on the PS3. I'm one of the few who still 'till today dont' get halo. I mean, it's a decent enough shooter and an 8 type game for me but I will never understand the hype with the title.

but i'd guess either Mass Effect 1 or Left 4 Dead 1 (just because Valve doesn't have the staff doesn't mean that EA hasn't put a team on it, a la, The Orange Box).

on the network front, it could be Braid, which was a brilliant game.

i'd personally love to have Mass Effect 1 on the PS3, as long as they adjust the load times, framerate, and texture loading issues.

i have a feeling it is Mass Effect, simply because Bioware have been very positive about the PS3 lately.

i mean, i'm sure Bioware has seen the level of hatred from the PS3 community concerning Valve's anti-PS3 remarks, so they are easing the waters by being positive about the PS3 now, so when they announced Mass Effect Sigma (personally, i think Mass Effect: The Saren Conflict would be a cool title for the PS3 version), the PS3 audience is more receptive.

i mean, even if Valve were to announce Left 4 Dead on the PS3, at this point, would PS3 fans be really excited (i think Left 4 Dead is fun for a short time, but HIGHLY overrated. any other game that's that shallow and repetitive would have been SLAUGHTERED by reviewers, but since it's Valve, L4D gets a pass).

on a sideways related note, i'm really looking forward to Dragon Age: Origins. i'm a big fan of Bioware, so i'm eager to see their first PS3 offering. hopefully it's as epic as Neverwinter Nights and KOTOR.

Since dead rising 2 is confirmed for the ps3, It would make sense if we saw the first one released on the ps3, I would deff buy that in a heart beat, especially if they polished it up a bit and fixed some of the problems that the 360 version had.

I could also see a Mass Effect 1, but that is less likely in my opinion, but that would be sweet to.

Ok, so it IS about the quality of the experience. I personally think the PS3 gives the best overall experience. PSN does everything I need it to and is FREE. The Dualshock's analogue sticks are more accurate and have less dead space, and the D-pad is far superior as well. The 360 has few exclusives I can't play on my PC or PS3, while the PS3 continues to provide a steady stream of outstanding exclusives.

It's a logical assumption. EA is Bioware's publisher. Microsoft do not own the IP anymore. Bioware are "pumped" to work on the PS3, and EA ALWAYS go for the more profitable decision (read: Multiplats). The confimation of Mass Effect 2 coming to PS3 is practically inevitable.

I don't know about "amazing" dude. So far all I keep seeing from the 360 exclusives list is normal average good games being hyped to insanity as AAAA experiences.

Like I've said, after 4yr of the 360 on the market, the only game I've looked at in it's line up and wanted to definitely have a go is mass effect and even with that I'm apprehensive cause I'm hoping it's not one of these games I'll eventually get to experience and end up disappointed in actual gameplay (a la halo2)

I've seen and read about many technical issues with the console version but that's just a game I want to check out for myself and not hindered by BS internet chatter.

You're right that more games are welcome additions regardless but my point is, there isn't much at all on the 360 that makes my feel like "I NEED to experience that!"
