EGM: GTA IV DLC To Reveal New Biker Character?

The latest rumour in Quatermann's section of EGM this month, speculates that Rockstar's first upcoming DLC pack for GTA IV (exclusive to the Xbox 360 platform) will introduce an unknown, mysterious biker character.

Well, those people play online. How many of them care about the singleplayer (which I think is what the DLC will mainly focus on)? As long as the new content doesn't have to do with the MP part, most of those people online won't care, I guess. Even if, we don't know the price tag, which might turn off some people.

Don't get me wrong: I don't want to bash the 360 - I wouldn't get the DLC if it came to PSN. It's just that I didn't like the game as much as I thought I would.
Guess I bought into the hype. :/

You guys forget that N4G comments sections are like a little group in a corner of an ocean of gamers that don't even know N4G exists.

You don't play the game anymore, fine. But it has sold millions and thousands upon thousands still play it online on both 360 and PS3, don't fool yourself by thinking what you are saying is fact, it is but a small point of view witch a maximum of 100 people who might agree with it.

I have not even finished the game yet, however it is sitting there and I play a mission or two now and then and I have enjoyed it. I'm also a little intrigued by the DLC that is coming up, that is my small useless point of view, in this huge huge huge industry.

Edit: Hype is useless, don't ever give into it it, let your own judgment of the game come to light, when the game actually comes out, it is the only thing that matters for your own perspective of things.

The DLC was something that sounded cool or at least had the impression that it would be something really worth the price of admission. However, after playing the game, I have no interest in the DLC, especially at extra cost on top of the game itself. Perhaps if the game was a bit bigger and better than San Andreas but to be honest, it was something of a let down in terms of advancing the name of GTA. It had pretty graphics (to a point) but was not leaps and bounds above the previous titles.

i still enjoy cops n crooks and co-op missions online. I hope the DLC is more for the MP now, as i dont play the single player game much at all anymore. It might be interesting to play as another character in SP though, they could just keep adding stories, and they all end up overlapping with each other, that would be cool.

Loved it, Beat it, Moved on from it, seriously though, if i had it on 360 i would prob check it out, but because im a Ps3/Pc/Wii gamer i will not see this downloadable content a shame yes, but something that i will actually care about 1 week after it is released?? No, but when Fable 2 comes out, I will sit there with my money and say "should i, or shouldn't i buy a 360" because Fable is the only reason (to me) to get a 360 not for some downloadable content, it would be nice, but im not buying a console for it.

that makes no sense Mr Houser. You just concentrated on your story a little too much. (which I am enjoying) On little mission at a time, every few days...or weeks. You made a game that is to be taken in doses, not in one sitting, imho.

I'm struggling to find the motivation to finnish the game cos it just isn't as much fun as it should be or the old games were. Granted the engine is a big step forward and the way I see it is GTA4 is about as good as GTA3, Vice city is where it got really good as they had thebasics there from GTA3 and could more time nto story/gameplay.

I see the next game being a lot better using GTA4's engine.

But the DLC just doen't interest me, when I eventually get round to finnishing the game it's gonna be sold and I can see a lot of 360 owners doing the same, ehy would you go back and pay for the DLC which i doubt will be cheap(it certainlt wasn't for M.$oft) when gears 2 is out.

I only have the PS3 version as don't have a 360, but I was thinking of getting one for gears 2 and gta with the DLC but I don't think I will now.

I enjoyed the game but not i am getting a bit bored of the missions. I have a few left and have nearly finished Phil Bells's missions. It feels more like a chore to complete this. If people arent interested in DLC, imagine what it will be like when this releases early 2009.

How many PS3 fans just brush off the DLC saying its pointless and crap lol ask most 360 owners and they can't wait.
I always end up coming back to a game again, sometimes 6 months after release. Started playing Mass Effect again so how can DLC be a bad thing.

The reason why is because most 360 "fanboys" --to denote from the more sensible 360 gamer--have deluded themselves into thinking the DLC is going to be this whole new city or something other than what it is. This is despite the fact that numerous interviews with the games developers state that the DLC will be new missions, new characters, new items and other minor things.

If the "new city" things turns out to be true, I'll gladly go pick up the 360 version ( I already have the Ps3 version) and get the content. But as it stands now in accordance with the evidence given, Ps3 owners have every right to say that the DLC is "crap."

Can't say I've touched the game much. Got bored of it after a while and it was really as good a previous GTA games.

Don't get me wrong it look nice but gameplay wise alot of what they improved on with vice city, San Andreas was absent from the GTAIV which resulted in endless go here kill that come back missions with little variety.

i find this personally very interesting, that almost all of you here haven't fully enjoyed GTA4, because this game got pretty much everywhere a perfect 10/10 score, which only confirms my thoughts about bribed reviews... my playtime in GTA4 was over 50 hours and i still would give it a 7/10, i am more waiting for Saints Row 2 or Mercenaries 2 with a lot more minigames/features or basically said "more stuff to do" than in boring GTA4.

I was pretty disappointed in gta4. Its still a good game, it just didn't live up to the hype. San andreas is still the best in the series.

I haven't even gotten to 50% yet in gta4 and I got the game on launch. That said, its going to take a lot more than a new character to get me to buy dlc, there'd have to be a whole new area (staten island would be perfect since it was left out of the original for some reason) and a ton of add ons like new vehicles, new weapons, jet packs, tanks etc.

i got that far during the contest that rockstar did, and once it ended, the only time i touched the game again was when i set up my surround sound system. it makes one heck of a difference on gta4. off topic, sorry. while i don't feel that gta4 was 10 out of 10, i would say 9.0 or 9.5. it showed what rockstar "could" do with future games. the same way gta3 showed what "could" happen. now, whatever game comes next, that game will be the shiznit. they were too busy (imo) building an entirely new engine to throw in that stuff that made vice city and san andreas amazing. if the dlc provides 10-15 hours new game play and is under 10 bucks, i'll go pick up the 360 version. but i don't think it's going to be that involved. time will tell i guess. <"

Microsoft paid too much, since it sounds like (and to the gamestop used shelf) that no one has GTA IV anymore or even cares about it.

I didn't even finish it, they took out what made San Andreas so great. GTA IV is not a perfect 10...but i guess we all knew that.

Poor Xbots, no one plays the game anymore, they wasted their 50 mil. Poor Xbots, I got bored with GTA4 up to 30% completion and traded it in, who cares for this dlc? Poor Xbots, there is already too much characters in GTA4.
