Final Fantasy 15, 2015.

tigertron3736d ago

I'm betting on 2015 too. That makes it nine whole years since the first trailer. -_-

nope1113736d ago

Yep. I'm thinking Q4 of 2015.

torchic3736d ago

Q4 2015??? wow that would be nearly a decade after the first trailer -.-

Luke_fon_Fabre3733d ago

I hope I get Star Wars Episode VII and Final Fantasy XV in the same month because that would be loads of amazing.

adventureghost1243736d ago

Yeah knowing square it won't release till q4 2016

Kurisu3736d ago

2016 is XV's 10th Anniversary so probably lol

What happened to us seeing more of these games? Will we finally get to after FFXIII-3 gets releases? Are they still doing that?

In any case I want both these games desperately, I bought a Ps4 mostly just to play them.

Nomura said KHIII wouldn't start development until FFvsXIII (remember when it was still called that? Not even a year has past yet) hit 50%. Well, since KHIII is on development now, I'd say FFXV is now at least 75% done. I'd expect an E3 reveal, or at the very least TGS. Just a trailer at E3, and gameplay footage running on PS4 hardware at TGS. Someone note this prediction down, lest I rage at Squeenix for another year without hands-on playable Noctis. So most likely 2nd or 3rd quarter 2015 release for FFXV. March-September, I can see it now.

KHIII most likely still at 10%. Either 2016 or 2017. I don't expect another trailer at E3, but I'd be surprised if there is.

Edit: If somehow FFXV got a December 2014 JPN release date yet, somebody slap my face. I'd take that slap like a man, have a smile, and my money out.

EXVirtual3736d ago

I'd be surprised if KH3 didn't get a trailer at E3.
As we all know, Disney also owns the Kingdom Hearts IP, not just SE. So they make calls on stuff like marketing and even story.
If SE was the only company that held the rights to KH, you can bet that we wouldn't have gotten that D23 expo trailer.

But yeah, I think FFXV is gonna release in 2015. We should get a release window or even a date at E3 or TGS.

AllBlue3736d ago

Square Enix usually release Final Fantasy games in holidays like XIII-2-3 so i bet that if they go the same route it would be holidays 2015 for japan and maybe spring 2016 for the rest of the world. Thats just my thoughts

Nate-Dog3736d ago

I would have to genuinely laugh in anyone's face that thought either of these games will be released anywhere near 2014.

SULTAN_43736d ago

because the FFXV is the 15th FF ,, maybe they won't release it until it spent 15 years in the development so that it became something really special 😁

I’m Glad Atlus & SE Changed Dates To Avoid Competing With Shadow Of The Erdtree

Saad from eXputer: "I'm glad I don't have to choose between Square Enix, Atlus, and FromSoftware due to bad release windows and Shadow of the Erdtree."

H91d 22h ago

More intelligent than guerilla games

raWfodog1d 4h ago (Edited 1d 4h ago )

Atlus is releasing their game one week before Erdtree, SE is releasing theirs one week after.

HZD released four days before Zelda, HFW released one week before Elden Ring.

It seems to me like they are still releasing their games too close to Erdtree.

VincentVanBro4h ago(Edited 4h ago)

What a word vomit, rambling, turd of an article that simply states the obvious. Classic exputer.

Glad that I absolutely can't stand subscription services.

Petebloodyonion9d ago (Edited 9d ago )

I don't recall Sony forcing you to subscribe like nobody forced you to go to Blockbuster to rent games instead of buying them.

SonyStyled9d ago

Pay-per-view was almost cheaper than the cost of gas and rental fee from Blockbuster. Blockbuster doesn’t exist today. Are you being sarcastic?

Yuji Naka guilty of insider trading breaks silence to accuse Square Enix producer of lies

Yuji Naka was fined $1.2 million and given a suspended jail sentence for the crime.

I find his comments around how Balan turned out to be very insightful as to why the game is trash. He basically apologises for its existence

solideagle14d ago

can you please give some of us who don't know anything about this, a summary of what happened?

Chocoburger14d ago

Balan was knowingly rushed out by S-E, it had an extremely short dev cycle and was fairly low budget.
Naka was the game's director until near the end when he was fired or perhaps he quit, I forgot.

carrotcakeag14d ago

@Chocoburger Yeah they did fire and replace him which caused him to unload a bunch of rants about the company. The project only existed because of Naka in the first place, he convinced Square to give him one shot at making a platformer. They gave him an opportunity but pulled the rug out before he was done for reasons not explained.
