Rumor: Sony scrambling to ensure video capture devices work on the PlayStation 4 via software patch
"The Barcelona-based (Spain) indie games publisher JanduSoft and indie games developer Juan-Mod, are today very glad and proud to announce that their 3D arcade action-platformer "Teared", is now available for PC (via Steam) and consoles (PS5, PS4, and the Nintendo Switch) via digital stores." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord brings back the classic experience with revamped graphics and other improvements.
"The Spain-based indie games publisher Firenut Games and Granada-based (Spain) indie games developer Trigger the Monster, today announced with great joy and thrill that their dark fantasy adventure/management game “Search of Light” (AKA SOL), is now available for PC (via Steam) and consoles (PS5, PS4, and the Nintendo Switch)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
So the PS4 might have a day one patch too?
I would guess Sony "scrambling" to implement a day one patch for video capture devices is preferable over scrambling to increase your clock speed like MS was forced to do.... just saying.
How big is the video capture group in gaming anyway?
Or does Sony feel that they have to appease v-bloggers for free advertising?
when your only problem(s) are just allowing the use of external capture cards and allowing the arab language across consoles, you're doing great....
All this to make easier for everyone. Sony is awesome in every way. Because even if they did nothing. You could still capture video and upload it in true 1080p with prefect sound.
