Top Ten Final Fantasy Characters of All Time

CheatCC says, "Over the years, there have been hundreds of Final Fantasy characters introduced to gamers worldwide. They have fought their way through epic battles and have called upon some of the most awesome forces in gaming to complete their tasks. That being said, everyone has a favorite character. Maybe they have more than a few favorites. But everyone who has ever played a Final Fantasy game can think of at least one character that they like. So what we decided to do was put together a short list of our favorite characters from the Final Fantasy series. Some are good, and some are bad. And some of them just are. But love them or hate them, these are our favorites."

3 characters from FF7 in the top 5....why on earth am I not surprised ¬¬

Yet no Squall...one of the most well developed FF characters in the entire franchise. From a lonley selfish jerk to a brave heroic leader, I mean you see a different side to him in each of the 4 discs. You can really tell how much he's changed from start to finish

Rai3895d ago (Edited 3895d ago )

Squall probably won't ever get recognized as a good character because to many people hes considered the emo character.

FF8 is my favorite FF and I would of liked to see him on the list

-Foxtrot3895d ago (Edited 3895d ago )

Those who say he is an "emo" because of how he is at the start of the game obviously havent finished it to see the great character development in the game. I'd rather say he's depressed or fed up with life (the story explains why he is like that) rather then him being an emo.

Then you get those die hard FF7 fans who don't want to admit that in reality in terms of story (all FF stories have their flaws), music, character development, mini games etc FF8 is better then FF7 in nearly every way.

Kyosuke_Sanada3895d ago

The funny things is that his depressive attitude what makes his character development more apparent and have more depth than most Final Fantasy protagonists.

No Kefka is sight... Fail list.

Nerdmaster3895d ago

Being a jerk the entire game and suddenly turning into a righteous knight in the end, is not a good character development.

And no, I don't prefer 7, before you ask. I don't know why, but everytime I complain about 8, people "accuse" me of liking 7. Overall, 8 is a better game, even with the terrible protagonist, and the terrible magic system and the terrible enemy level system. Oh, and Selphie - God, I hate Selphie...

-Foxtrot3895d ago

The entire game....no...basicaly all of disc 1 untill the end when he decides to show his courage to take on Edea head to head.

It was a slow transition from disc 1 to disc 4 so don't say he was a jerk the entire game when he wasn't.

Don't say the magic system is crap aswell because it's not...it's another nit pick from FF7 fans. You didn't have to keep drawing all the time, I never drew once in battle unless it was for GF's and I had a ton of magic at the end of the game thanks to the Island of Heaven and Hell.

The reasons people bring up to hate on FF8 are all nitpicking to try and bring the game down. I mean as you've even proved in your first sentence, you obviously didn't get into the game much if your saying he was the jerk the ENTIRE time.

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
