EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.
EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.
Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.
This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.
SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
The only one on that list that is almost unanimously GOTY and best of show at E3 is uncharted 2 and rightly so. It's still my personal top contender for game of the generation and I'd be willing to bet a lot of other peoples too.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I say that for various reasons.
If you attend, you will know that a lot of the games shown off during conferences etc, are not playable at E3 itself. Then there are ones that are playable, but are held behind closed doors and don't really get a lot of these nominations. For example when Sony unveiled the vita, at the conference it was basically free game to it, but at E3 it was more of a "here touch it while I watch over you" deal.
I think during those years when several AAA games are actually present and being a part of the show, the awards matter. Other times companies like EA just do a great job of being the center of attention by providing their games, while others are still somewhat hiding them. I remember Medal of Honor won all kinds of shooter awards while Ghost Recon and COD were in a closed doors environment.
The real question is, does it really matter?
E3 shows off early / tech demos and merely gives you a small taste of what was possible from the game. The problem is that we don't know what or how much a game will change between point A and B, which could be minimal like Borderlands 2 or vast like Aliens: CM (which without a doubt gave the impression of being better than it was). This is all no different than seeing a really good TV commercial. I can't tell you how many times I've been mislead by a movie commercial, only to find out I saw the best scene or the ad gave the impression of it being a completely different movie than it was. Furthermore, what you see at E3 isn't always a clear indication of what is going to happen or even every title out there.
Some random examples off the top of my head from last year...
- Papo and Yo was playable, yet there were plenty of more deserving PSN titles (in my opinion).
- Anarchy Reigns was not playable at the Sega booth, but Virtua Fighter 5 The FInal Showdown was (which was free with Plus, so who cares what I thought of it).
- Rayman Legends had a rather lengthy and well done demo, yet we will probably see it again at this years E3.
- Lost Planet 3 had an interesting boss battle, yet that constantly gets delayed.
-I don't believe The Walking Dead was there on any level, yet this won GOTY from a number of sites.
So yeah...

You're right, critics suck ass. I can't stand them and i don't know why anyone does, make up your own minds if something is rubbish or not. I can guarantee that over half the games i own critics hate.
