"You get what you pay for" comes to mind?

BeZdaBest4017d ago

i get what i pay for... yea a really great console that has a few quirks to work out... just like most consoles..

an to update it it took me 25mins to download.. another 3 to install..

Psn8004017d ago (Edited 4017d ago )

Took me ten mins , it really does depend on your connection I'm lucky I have fibre optic but know what it's like to have a slow connection that is why I upgraded I hope everyone's update went well for everyone .

GreenRanger4018d ago

"can take up to an hour to download"
That depends on your internet connection.
Some people could download big firmware updates in minutes, while it could take hours for other people.

Rockefellow4018d ago (Edited 4018d ago )

You're correct; the article's title is ambiguous to a laughable degree. It could take two days, or a week, or even three months to download, should my internet work slowly enough.

Unfortunately, poorly-written articles are often the result of poorly-educated "writers," and that's something we see a bit too much of around N4G.

WiiUsauce4018d ago

took me about 30 minutes, but I was on YouTube anyway, so I wasn't paying attention.

ChickeyCantor4018d ago

Im on a 50mbits/s connection. That gives me 50/8 megabytes a second. It took me 45 minutes.

Nintendo should add some more servers. Cause I didn't enjoy this download speed at all.

UnholyLight4018d ago

Same as when I had my Wii U and there was that supposed first HUGE update. Took my Wii U less than 25mins to download...and this is on a college residence where there's lots of people using the internet!! On top of that I live in Canada where supposedly our internet bandwidth and cell service is always way behind US in terms of speed and new tech

Wii U games that still haven't been ported to Switch

The Nintendo Switch is potentially nearing its lifespan, and several Wii U games haven't found their way over as ports yet.

I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.

The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.

How would XCX work without dual screens functionality?

Cacabunga5d ago

Same as Paper Mario color splash. One of the best wiiu games and getting even better with dual screen. Same reason why i prefer Splatoon 1

Profchaos5d ago

This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.

Stevonidas4d ago

Devil's Third is HIGHLY underrated.

repsahj4d ago

They should remake Starfox to the switch 2. Very beautiful game during gamecube days.

Chocoburger4d ago

Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.
