1UP - Expanding on what makes Bethesda's games special is the way to go.
The Nerd Stash: "The Wasteland is unforgiving, and there are a ton of brutal ways to die in the Fallout universe. We listed out the absolutely worst ones."
We were expecting problems with mod support, but there are a lot of other issues.
Not accidental, they want modders to stop modding their older games to force them to mod Shitfield.
Over 14 GBs and doesn't change much at all? What? Taking up that much drive space for a pathetic 'remastering' is shameful.
Par for Bethesda.
LOL people are actually expecting massive improvements or something? From Bethesda?? the same people who released Skyrim multiple times and the all look like shit? THAT Bethesda? are people for real?
The ps5 version doesn't change a ton but from my small playtime it's enough to make me want to replay it just to have it running at 60.
A side note to this my PS4 version no longer boots after it's "update" so I guess that's what it feels like to own a Bethesda game on PC
Bethesda Customer Support Manager confirmed they're looking into Fallout 4 not being offered to those who redeemed via PlayStation Plus for free.
Even though I claimed the PS Plus version, I still have my physical GOTY PS4 edition and was able to get my PS5 upgrade a little earlier today. Physical media FTW lol. Hopefully it won't be too long before the PS Plus owners also get to upgrade their copies.
I expect this and also no releasing on next ps console. Pretty simple. Please don't be suprise
They don't need to. They have shill game writers trying to point people to the $35 version...yeah, let that sink in.
Number 1 on my wishlist is just don't be as EASY as Fallout 3 and it's expansions were, they were still awesome to play through, they were just to easy with VATS. And don't be anything like Fallout: New Vegas.
I think New Vegas's dialog choices were the best. FO3 and Skyrim have many Black or White choices, but FNV had some tough decisions to make.
One thing I would like back is a better perk system like FO3 had. New Vegas didn't do it that well. Not only, should we get perks for leveling up, but also for doing things in game (ie stabbing the Oasis tree or radiating yourself for the Survival Guide) so that you reap a greater reward than a weapon or armor. I would also like to see a skill tree in the next fallout game. Maybe if the main character was a bit of a robot (after an accident or something) you could link wires together(skill branches) or just make a tree we can focus on. Skyrim did a really great job of that.
Weapons should be more involved. I loved FO's crafting system and I think it would be great to focus more on a good crafting system.
Companions. New Vegas did this perfectly. Companions having story arcs is brilliant. Improve them a bit.
I would skip the faction system this time. I like the civil war branch in Skyrim, but I think that new Vegas suffered a little from having 4 huge branches that lead entirely in a different direction. I think there should be one main story path but with other clan/faction quests, side quests and tasks. The ES series always had a good structure to unmarked quests, and keeping track of them in Fallout was hard because they were just notes and tapes making it tough to pursue.
----
They should bring the survival mode from New Vegas.
Better enemy Ai's
More rare weapons
No more Multi endings
Horrible Weather
Build your own house/Town invite NPC or your friends to live
I love the ideal in the artical, which explains having an effect on the world.
Example: killing a father of 3 in a town or whatever, then seeing the kids struggle, or in a deffernt town. Or going back to lets say their farm and you see their crops completely dead and inside the farm you fine 3 skeletons.
I'd love a realistic survival Fallout. Similar to the Hardcore Mode seen in Fallout NV but with more detail and realism.
I think it should actually feel like you're trying to survive out in the wasteland and every move you make should be carefully calculated. There should be no stimpaks to give you your health back, just medicine and bandages to help take care of the wounds.
Day Z is a good example of what i'm trying to explain.
You should also have the freedom to use ANYTHING at your disposal, and I mean ANYTHING. Breaking windows and using glass as weapons or breaking the legs off of chairs to make blunt weapons and also the ability to combine things to create weapons.
You should also be able to make your own gang and give quests to other Ai's.
better engine
meaningful story
