I hope sunbro is somewhere in the DLC :D

Looks like they're falling into the habit of milking people like the other devs too. Glad I didn't buy this. Demon's Souls was actually complete unlike Dark Souls which was rushed out so they could milk people with DLC.

Hahahahahahahahhahah.
*deep breath*
AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH.

Funniest thing I've heard all week.
Dark Souls was 100% complete. The PC Port & now Console DLC are in direct response to consumer feedback :
"WE WANT MORE!!!"
And now we're getting it. This is a true expansion, not Day 1 Disk Locked Content.

ChronoJoe4346d ago

In what way are they milking people?

I can't imagine anyone felt the original game was incomplete or anything like that. It had a lot of content, and this looks like a lot more content - presumably at a very small price too.

There's at least 4 bosses shown here, probably 2 or 3 new areas. Seems like a substantial DLC. Not sure how much it's going to cost but I'm sure it won't be too much.

It's going to be $15 across PC and all Cosoles.

Lucretia4346d ago

your a fool. flat and simple.

the game was completed fool. Fans asked and asked and asked for a PC version. What did FROM do? they finally said yes, but instead of just doing a straight port they wanted to give extra.

Then the extra was only for the pc users and WE begged for it to be on consoles, so now we have it.

your a fool if you think the game wasn't complete, its obvious you haven't played it if you thought that. and obvious if you think the game was rushed. its an amazing game and YET again your a fool if you enjoyed Demons souls yet passed this game up.

Merrill4346d ago

Are you kidding? Dark Souls is one of the most complete games I have ever played, it's amazing. By the time this DLC hits consoles the game will have been out for over a year, how is that milking it? It's not on disc DLC or a month after release DLC, get your head out of your a**.

The prevalence of parrying: Why is it so popular?

Parrying has been creeping into more games, with almost every high-profile title of the last few years featuring it in some way.  Why?

i understand the authors frustration i'm not the best at parrying in games. not that i can't complete a game that requires it but it is a definite harder thing for me than other kinds of techniques in games. which might be the main reason it's so heavily added in games nowadays. want to make your game challenging without having to do a lot of work? just add a parry boss. (what i mean by parry boss is a boss you have to beat by parrying such that their attacks will kill you otherwise)

Dudeson34d ago (Edited 34d ago )

I always think it's fine as long as such games also have the roll/dodge panic button. But I understand the will to parry, it seems so cinematic in a fight when you pull it off.
