None of their games catch my attention but its good the studio wants to expand

Crap_Turtle4393d ago

Of course it wont

It would be the equivalent of cutting off both hands and both feet and trying to conduct a normal life.......

there is no normal life without physical media in gaming......

you think people want to have psn be down for an entire day, and not have another way?

Or going into a store just to buy a slip with a code on it?

Yes, pc gaming proves it. Pc gaming is always about 5 years ahead, I guess pc gamers are just nerdier. Perfect example is wow, you can't play unless you are online but it has the player base of a popular console.

Crap_Turtle4393d ago

Oh you mean the PC where piracy is so rampant profit when doing a game only on PC is next to impossible? Is that what you mean?

Where games have to be so down priced just to have people buy them you end up going bankrupt later?

wolokowoh4393d ago

@Crap_Turtle Piracy is rampant but a lot more people buy games than you think. Where were the advertisements in the US for the Witcher series. Exactly, few and far between and yet, the Witcher 2 sold 1 million in the US alone in 2011 and CD Projekt RED is very small. Cliff Bleszinski and several other developers have gone on record saying if you're a small developer starting out to go to PC and Steam.

I love how people just change the subject when they know they are wrong. Check the headlines when it comes to pc profits. Even japanese devs are starting to notice. Consoles are pretty much only for blockbuster hits at this point, most of them are michael bay like and pretty shallow.
Almost all console games lose money right now, then the odd game like call of duty makes 100s of millions. Thats why you barely see anything original anymore on console; its just way too risky. Just ask all the studios that have been shut down in the last few years, most of them focused on consoles.

Why Are Steam's Recommendations Dogpoop?

Blindfolding myself and clicking a Steam page at random would serve me better recommendations than Steam’s algorithm

Hmm, not sure I agree with that. The recommendations I get are usually pretty good, but then again I have pretty large library of games on Steam and hundreds of them in my wish list, along with lots of curators I follow for it to build recommendations off of. On occasion it will throw me a random FIFA game or something I've never bought or shown interest in, but mostly its decent IMO.

If Pseudoregalia is one of the best I'd hate to see what the worst look like.

Actually Ryan Gosling makes a ton of sense.

Edit: If this can be done in a Scott Pilgrim movie kind of way that would be dope.

rolando12330d ago

The more I think about it, the more I kinda want it to be a thing lol. Ryan Gosling would be awesome. He would need to play it less serious, but he's shown that he can be a goofball.
