Following the tenth anniversary of the Halo franchise and launch of the popular Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary this week, Microsoft Studios has revealed some interesting statistics about the series. Not only that, but also the performance of the Halo videogames and their fans on Xbox LIVE.
Remember the days of four-player couch co-op? The Wealth of Geeks team certainly does. This list brings us back to the golden years of the original Xbox with the best four-player games that were available.
Have you ever looked at a modern first-person shooter and wondered "How did we get here?" Wealth of Geeks performs a deep dive into the genre, including some of the most influential games, from the very first FPS from the cross-genre experiences that changed the game entirely.
BLG writes, "There are many fantastic and iconic weapons in game history, but some are significantly more memorable than others. When we think of iconic game weapons, these are the top 20 that come to mind."
You forgot one and it's a doozy. The weapon is kindness in undertale. :) defeats countless enemies.
That's a spicy meatball!
I loved Halo CEA! Really took me back, what I was most surprised about was how great the game looks now, and a bit surprised at how many enemies came at you at one time, I remember some games on PS2 and Gamecube that had maybe 3, 4 or 5 enemies tops on the screen at once, this game throws dozens at you.
Excellent job at getting me pumped up to play as the Master Chief yet again in Halo 4!
This was the game that set the standard for FPS for cconsoles.halo was my launch game when i bought the original xbox.those games named above my comment were inspired by halo.i'm glad halo set the mark high for gaming and it deserves a ton of gratitude setting that mark.
Lol. Just got an email. My Halo overall gamerscore is 4090, the top 2% of all xbox live members. My overall amount of achievements is 150, top 3% of all xbox live members. My total halo multiplayer time is 331 hours, the average xbox live gamer has spent 37.4 WTF have i been doing with my life. XD
Edit: and whats worse, ive only spent around a day in halo reach watchmaking, but I have over 75 hours in skyrim and that just came out. *needs life*
i don't like halo my self, but i see why ppl love it more than any game out there.
