I will be getting the 360 version because I have no interest in playing with PC users and my PC couldn't run the free copy of the game anyway. I also want to play with my friends on Xbox LIVE and I would like to add to my gamerscore.

Huh? There are more excellent "core" games coming to the 360 in 2011 than I can remember from any other year. I plan to use my 360 more than ever before this year. I already don't know how I will play all of these games:
-Gears of War 3
-L.A. Noire
-The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
-You Don't Know Jack!
-Dust: An Elysia...
The 360 is currently outselling the PS3 in North America, while in Europe the two are tied, and the PS3 outsells the 360 in the rest of the world because it sells in far more countries than the 360.

You'll probably have to wait a LONG time for that. Maybe a year? L.A. Noire is Rockstar's main focus right now. After that releases, they will probably announce GTA V and then that will be getting all the attention for a long time to come.
GTA IV was delayed 6 months because the PS3 version was falling behind, and the PS3 version still ran like shit compared to the 360 version.
Heavy Rain currently sits at 1.65 million, not 2 million.
Uhh... Alan Wake reached a big milestone with 1 million copies sold. I believe that warrants an article and a submission. And VGChartz is a very reliable source for worldwide sales as has been proven time and time again. The facts are simply ignored here on N4G, though. One person says VGChartz is unreliable when the 360 is destroying the PS3 in sales, and all the mindless fanboys follow. Soon everyone is against VGChartz.

I guess it was a mistake to release on the same day as RDR, but RDR really came out of nowhere and blew everyone away. Well, I was following it long before release, being a Rockstar fan, but it definitely wasn't the highest profile game until just before release. Alan Wake's release date couldn't be changed anymore at that point.
People still could have picked up both, though. It came out at one of the slowest times of the year for game ...

Now of course I'm exaggerating here, but the truth is, Japanese sales are so TINY compared to NA and Europe sales that they are almost completely insignificant.
According to NPD:
Killzone 3 sold 280,000 in one week.
Killzone 2 sold 323,000 in two days.
Killzone 3 launched to 18.8 million potential customers in America.
Killzone 2 launched to 8.2 million potential customers in America.
There is no denying that Killzone 3's performance is terrible.
Killzone 3 released on 2/22/2011, so it had one week on this chart and sold 280,000.
Killzone 2 released on 2/27/2009. It had TWO DAYS on its chart and sold 323,000.
And back then, the PS3's install base was only a third of what it is now. There is no denying that Killzone 3's sales are ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC for a big, hyped exclusive FPS.

I don't believe anyone suggested the marketing budget didn't help Kinect. It just didn't GUARANTEE success for Kinect. If it wasn't such a great product, it would not be selling anywhere near this well, $500 million marketing budget or not.
Why would these exclusive lists matter to anyone that already has their 360? Maybe there would be an argument to be had for someone who was currently deciding between the two consoles and could only get one, but if you already own a 360 then you have tons and tons of games to play in 2011, be they exclusives, console exclusives, multiplatform titles, Arcade games, Kinect titles, or Indie games.
