Anyone else feel like there's no point in playing Infinite Warfare now that CoD WW2 is announced?
You'd have to be insane to watch regular 3D movies in VR. It's just terrible. The only reason people do it now is because of the novelty factor and curiosity
It only works if it's a fully-3D movie that you can move around in (which is different from the "3D" we are talking about here).
I dunno... still looks pimpy to me
Yes, except for the 3D anime characters which I can't stand
It's like bathing your eyes in silky-smooth cream
Not at all. To me, the essence of PC gaming is indie/less-than-AAA/less accessible games, and downgrading the graphics settings liberally in every single game until you hit 144 fps at rock-bottom minimum. I can't go back to consoles as long as the requirement for every game isn't at least 60 fps.
It's kinda starting to happen with Pro/Scorpio, though.
Actually, visually-pleasing art style is the only thing that matters. A game can have cutting-edge graphics and still look completely uninteresting (Ubisoft/Crytek games). On the other hand, a game can be 2D or very minimal, and still look 10x better than modern AAAs (Yoshi's Island, Inside)
Not completely over, but people certainly pirate waaaaay less now than back in the day (2005-2010).
I prefer Bloodborne. Horizon is a bit too Ubisoft-y for my tastes
Bloodborne was just insanely creative, unique, compelling, and full of interesting things to discover and experiment with (as it is the case will all Souls games). Horizon is more of a big blockbuster
The style seems like it could become really annoying really fast
That sounds like the kind of technical/marketing mumbo-jumbo comment that they try to build hype with but it ends up being nothing special at all
I was expecting something special or funny, but turns out it's just some ordinary photo....
I don't think it's fair to say SotC's climbing is "unappreciated"
It's such a relief that console devs are starting to see the importance of 60 fps. Let's hope sub-60 framerates are a thing of the past. I can't play a 30fps game without being bothered anymore
@cpayne93
A framerate under 100 is a framerate problem
so much truth in that comment....
I think it has more to do with the fact that the average Ubisoft game design process goes like this:
1- Hire 999 human psychology experts
2- Lock them in a room for a year and tell them they need to find the absolute most generic and wide-appeal ideas possible
3- Make a huge game based of this, and focus on quantity instead of quality
4- Invest in a big ad campaign to create artificial, short-term hype
...and then it results in a highly-p...
I don't see any problem with this, though
Seems to me like switching to CryEngine at this time is a bad move. Crytek is in a weird financial situation and the future of the engine is uncertain. And UE4 is just a better choice if they're looking for a graphics powerhouse. It's a much more feature-rich engine
Plus.... Unity games can look way better than that demo. Both Unity and UE4 are great choices
I heard some news today that completely killed my excitement for Prey, though. Bethesda filed a lawsuit against the dev team of "Prey for the gods" (the awesome game that looks like SotC) because it has the word "Prey" in it.
I don't want to support such unfathomably idiotic and vile people. Bethesda should be imposed a 1 million dollar fine for just attempting to do lawsuits as unreasonable as these. It's not the first time they do this type of ...
