"All his saves"? That could be many many GB of data. Is there no way to transfer your data to the new HD directly?
By reading your comment, you probably don't have a PS3. My game saves are rarely over 1 MB, most of them are around 400 kB (0.4 MB).
Both Capom & Marvel said they wanted to make Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but Capcom doesn't have the Marvel license any more. They can't even make any more MvC2 discs for the PS2.
I don't have a source from Capcom or Marvel, but Capcom mentioned it in a Street Fighter IV video-interview.
I thought my 360 was "special". I had a launch 360 also and used to wonder why all of these 360 were going bad. I thought they were using them on the carpet, near a heat source, inside an entertainment cabinet, etc. My 360 shared my dresser with my 47 inch LCD, PS3, and nothing else, everything had plenty of breathing room all around.
The 360 started to act funny a few months ago (video going black & scrambled graphics) & it got a RRoD a few weeks ago. I didn't ...
From the article:
"Playstation 4 should come in 2011 according to our model. I think that this will be the earliest that it will appear and that 2012 is more likely."
Instead of selling HD-DVD players at a loss for $200, Toshiba should have sold HD-DVD "drives" to Microsoft at a loss. A 360 disc would've had 30 GB instead of 8.5 GB & Toshiba would've had 15+ million HD-DVD "players".
It also would've been cheaper for Toshiba to go the 360 route because they only needed to supply the drives, the 360 already has the necessary processing power to display 1080p movies (unlike those 1080i players for $200). Standalone HD-DVD...
"M$ wont be making BluRay games, just a BluRay movie player add-on"
Because Sony developed Blu-Ray, MS will have to pay royalties to Sony for each Blu-Ray 360/add-on made (unless they WANT to be sued).
Circuit City, Wal-Mart, & Sears still have some nails left...
"$60 really isn't that much. In fact, it's really cheap entertainment. Take a girl out to dinner and a club and see how long $60 will last you."
Are you saying that you'd rather buy a video game than take a girl out for the night?
Sure, after the girl goes back home I don't have a $60 game that I can play any time that I want. But a girl can give me more pleasure than a video game ever will.
Its good that you want to help, but buy the time you discover new pirating techniques, these companies have already had meetings about them.
but I'm getting GTA IV for the PS3. I'm waiting for MS to send me my box so my 360 can be fixed as I type this.
Its expensive compared to the the 360 & Wii, but its worth the money.
The Micro Center also has good deals from time to time. I got myself a 16 foot HDMI 1.3 cable for only $45 (they were on sale).
The smaller chips don't have less transistors, they have smaller transistors. The chips are like little cities: you can use a "shrink-ray" to reduce the size of the streets equally, but you'll still have the same number of streets. Since the streets are smaller they don't require as much building material [concrete], or silicon in the case of the CELL processor.
I think that Sony being both an electronics company and movie company has helped move this format war along at a quicker pace.
Proof that it happened today:

Windows XP can only run on Intel processors, the PS3 uses a PowerPC based Cell processor. Linux can run on any type of processor, there are different versions of Linux for different types of processors.
If you try to install a PC version of Linux on the PS3 it won't work because they're incompatible. You'll need a PowerPC or PS3 version for the PS3.
The only way the PS3 can run Windows XP:
1. Install Linux on the PS3
2. Install Virtual PC (or simila...
The PS3 had two price cuts?
The 'Premium' PS3 went from $600 to $500
The 'Regular' PS3 went from $500 to $400
You can't really count that as two price cuts, if you do then the 360 had 3 price cuts (Core/Arcade, Premium, & Elite)
PS3 failure rates are around 0.02%

The Falcon had a 65nm CPU, which was already properly cooled anyway. The GPU, which is the source of the problem, is still 90nm with an extra heatsink.
I'm getting the PS3 version because of my RROD, it made me bitter & biased against the 360.
But besides my bad experience with the 360, if the extra content isn't available on day-1 on the disc, then I'm simply not interested in the extra content. By the time the DLC is ready I'll probably be playing MGS4, SSF2THDR, etc.
