You really can't say "What's your point?" without sounding antagonistic. I'm going over this in my head and trying to make "What's your point?" sound friendly, or even neutral and I can't get it down.
No, there's something to see here, and it's absolute, one-hundred percent bullshit. These Polygon people are whackadoo.
I'm sorry this person has a disability, but this is just odd. Extremely odd.
Agreed completely. Also, doesn't the melee combat look like it's on steroids? Seeing that game play where Ellie goes up against the brute makes me hope that there are a lot of enemies in this game.
I also doubt that this is going to be the typical hide in grass, distract, melee, shoot type game. From what I've seen this transcends that. Naughty Dog know they have to bring it.
I'm so happy this is doing so well. I'm going to dive into this after Rage 2.
This is the problem. People are using a handful of SJW reviews to nullify and disqualify every review they don't like. There are a lot of reviews that aren't politically motivated that give this game a middling score.
Some people don't like the game, but it has nothing to do with political leanings; but these people want any excuse to dump on a reviewer they disagree with. Everyone has to like their precious game, and if they don't, they have an agenda, they...
Alright, but does The Order 1886 have mixed, fun combat like this, or is it a fairly bland, uninspired cover shooting the entire time? Look more closely at the picture.
The Order was good experience, but it wasn't a great game, not by a long shot. Better off as a tech demo, really.
@ Tekolie
Hellblade's box art looks quite good, and it's in line with Senua's mental instability. Her eyes are angled slightly upward. It jives well with her madness.
'This' art just looks silly, imo. The we-tried-too-hard-to-make-her- look-strong-and-determined look is way overboard with this art.
Oh man, I can't wait. That combat looks so good, and combat was one of the most satisfying aspects of The Last of Us' game play. The melee combat - but the gun play was also good.
This is one of those games where you ask whatever's out there to let you live long enough to play it.
Lol, yes.
"Never" got repetitive?
I disagree, personally. I think it was "repetitive" as all hell, but that's because the repetition was slow, arduous, tedious repetition; not the good kind.
The story was great at some moments, and monumentally stupid at others. That said, I'm glad this game happened but not for the sentiments you expressed, but because it can serve as a cautionary tale.
Moment-to-moment tasks must be...
Because it can't be helped. No matter what we think of these outlets, they're the biggest by far, and people are going to either agree or disagree usually based on a pre-conceived bias.
People 'want' things to be a certain way, so if IGN gives a game they 'want' to be a "10" a ten, it's fine. If they go another way, it's always because the reviewer is corrupted.
All this does is make people even 'more' cur...
If there's a "sleeper hit" this year, 'this' is definitely it.
The game looks amazing, and now we know that it pretty much 'is' amazing. Atmospheric, medieval, dark, and by the sound of it, totally awesome.
Congrats to the developers are definitely in order. Also, I like the price.
Insta-buy. I had a feeling this would be great. Pre-ordering immediately.
I feel like I'm at this point where I want to scream "WTF do you want?" to all these reviewers.
Video games are video gamey. They're formulaic, and that's fine - they're still fun. Days Gone? Had an awesome time. AC Odyssey? Pretty damn good time, though I can understand how Odyssey could be overwhelming for people.
Not everyone is going to be Naughty Dog or CD Projekt Red, or Guerilla, or one of these kinds of powerhouses and i...
Please, let this be the last. It's time to put your talents toward a new project.
IGN is an entity, but it's an entity made up of individual entities. These entities are autonomous. They don't tow a company line - they're all different. Lucy O'Brien is far, far different from Dan Stapleton for example.
I look at each individual reviewer, because that's more objective and reasonable than slapping IGN with a broad brush.
This isn't to say I never disagree with their reviewers because I certainly do. Lucy is one e...
I was so wrong about this game; had such a great time. I can't wait for the sequel on PS5.
Lucy O'Brien isn't IGN, she's one reviewer.
"Doom-inspired energetic pace that few shooters manage to pull off."
Yeah, I'm in.
Agreed - but I think people make too much of reviews. Compared to the masses, 'reviewers' are but a tiny palmful of people who play video games. Anyone can be a reviewer, really. You just need an general knowledge of gaming and an opinion, and those aren't particularly hard things to acquire.
The game is very good, and the people have spoken, but you're always going to have people that don't like something. It really isn't a big deal, and the headlin...
