I respect your respectful disagreement.

I thought a lot of the side missions in RDR2 had narrative importance just like the ones in Witcher 3, but I didn't enjoy the game play of RDR2 nearly as much.

RDR2's world was definitely well crafted, though. No denying that.

It "shames" you to admit that you don't like Shadow of The Colossus? Why? I liked Shadow of The Colossus, but I don't think you should walk down the street naked while you flog yourself.

It's just a video game.

@ Imalways Nice.

If I had to answer that question literally, I'd say the controls.

See, I thought most of it was a slog, really. I liked Arthur and his tragic heroism, but that's pretty much all I liked. The game play, as you said, was just a slog - all of it. Whether you're shooting, looting, tending to your invalid bride (horse) it all makes you want to shout "JUST GO!" at your screen.

Most people cite walking through camp as the most tedious aspect, but I found everything else to be equally tedious. The world some characters were comp...

Eh, it's just a silly Metacritic score.

I don't need some YouTube 'wise man' to put things into perspective for me. I know what makes Red Dead Redemption 2 'good' and 'bad.'

See, I find RDR2 much smaller in scale. Oh well.

'How dare this little upstart - this... "Plague Tale" get more high scores than Days Gone did! You get this dumb little slingshot and chase this stupid kid and there's rats! Garbage!'

Oh brother.

The internet is filled with emotional, binary fools, who make silly, nonsensical comparisons like these all the time.

The Witcher 3 absolutely still holds that title. Every time I think back on RDR2 I literally become exhausted.

Let it be an enigma a little while longer, I say - I like the drip. There's a good chance they'll show something at E3 anyway though.

As long as there are kids around to love it, I don't see it going anywhere.

I wasn't really moved by Deacon and Sarah's relationship, but I did like how Deacon would return to the 'Sarah Stone' to talk and get things off his chest.

I thought the last mission with O'Brien eclipsed everything else in the game. That was just awesome.

"Alright, whaddya want O'bri - oh damn."

Nothing.

This just comes off as pretentious to me, and reminds me of something a man like Kanye West or some cocky rapper would do. If it were a watch that Snake wore, I could appreciate it, but I can't appreciate this.

I do like the logo though.

You aren't wrong, but 'every' game should be held to a basic standard of "Is it fully functional?" Things like that shouldn't be acceptable in 'any' first or third party game - it's that simple. Just look at that, it's terrible.

First party games are held to a higher standard because of tribalism and the fact that they're expected to be better because they're backed by Sony and Microsoft. We all know why things are the way ...

Yeah, you used it multiple times 'in this instance' yet for weeks you've been completely non-objective and utterly defensive without nuance. Glad you're coming around :)

People disagreed with my audio desyncing comment. Problem is, facts are facts, and are inescapable.

"The game is great and didn't deserve some of the ridiculous low reviews and hate it received by some reviewers for outlandish and nonsensical reasons."

See, I completely agree with that sentiment, BUT, that doesn't mean that EVERY negative review came from someone who wanted to trash the game.

I have a problem when people want to slap things with a broad brush, and aren't objective. Intellectual honesty is important, and that means...

Oh we'll get a part 2. Days Gone is a great game, and Sony know that many people love the game. Besides, did 6's and 7's stop 'actual mediocrity' like Destiny?

Days Gone is in a great position. Sony wants it to be a franchise, and so do we.

Yeah, because 'everyone' who criticized this game did so along agenda-driven lines like your example.
