I've heard nothing but praise for it. If I ever spring for a PSVR it'll be the first thing I do.

I'm triggered? Have you seen your reaction to all these reviews? Everyone knows I'm Drumbeat as I make no effort to hide it. I deleted my old account, but nice try.

The graphics are solid for the most part, but image quality falls short. It's a mixed bag. Some things are greatly detailed while others are very low textured.

They played it very safe.

Exactly. Nobody needs to answer Google Stadia - at least not at this point. All Sony needs to do is continue what they're doing. Stadia isn't proven, and 'it' needs to answer Sony.

I'm glad VR is getting its due, but I'm old fashioned. Give me a great game, a controller, and a comfy chair, and I'm set.

Yeah, that absolutely killed my end game and is just unforgivable. It was so bad that I couldn't make heads or tails of the last twenty or so missions in the game. Nothing was synced up and on top of that the audio was entirely gone.

Fortunately, the ending is pretty straightforward... you kill Eminem and save the day. So it's not like it's hard to understand and you need to hear every word, but it significantly impacted the game regardless.

I didn't know it was 'that' bad that they needed to make a public 'humanity' pledge. Exactly what the hell is going on inside this studio?

I was hoping for 'Fuedal Japan' myself, because you know, people on the internet and reasons.

The Last of Us III? How about 'Feudal Japan?' Madden 2019? Fuedal Japan would be perfect. Cyberpunk 2077? I think Fuedal Japan would be the perfect backdrop for that too. Grand Theft Auto 6? FEUDAL. JAPAN.

@ oldboy

I could've done without either of them. I'm in no way justifying Crackdown; don't think I am, but when people say "I wish we had Scalebound and not this" I just don't think either of them could have ever been good.

Neither were worthy of happening.

You insult Bend implying they're thin skinned. They're a great studio and they're adults not babies. Check their website; see if they're hiring campus guards. You'd be wonderful.

LOL. It's there - cloud compute is there. The problem is it couldn't be done on the scale Microsoft was advertising - not now at least.

Microsoft knew it wasn't going to happen with Crackdown 3, yet they 'lied' (and they did lie) all generation and told us that it would happen, or at least heavily implied it. Why give a demonstration and not follow through?

Stupid.

Yeah, it was just before nightfall. Absolutely perfect. Not too light and not too dark, and with a full blown blizzard that lasted the entire time.

I wasn't personally impressed by Scalebound - thought it looked awful. The dragon riding, beats by dre wearing protagonist didn't do it for me, and from what I saw of the game play I didn't like at all.

Perhaps it was for the best that Scalebound never happened.

The blizzard will always be especially memorable, because it was on a blizzard evening that I faced the Sawmill horde. It only added to the chaos and it was perfect.

The audio desyncing was the only thing that really dogged my game. Glad they fixed it because it really is a great game. Doesn't deserve that nonsense.

This is a freaker game.

Consumers outnumber reviewers and the game is good?

1960d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'd say that's partially it, yes.

I understand some of the criticism - the whole end game was ruined for me because of audio and syncing, but I also think that many critics were way too hard on this game. The reasoning behind their criticism was utterly nonsensical and I think it was downright insane at times, while others gave fair criticism.

That said, the 'Sony standard' certainly played a role in the reactions of players and critics i...

I see where you're coming from, and if you look at it in terms of Xbox Vs PlayStation and exclusive games and all that then yes, it's a joke, but when you look at the overall business strategy, the larger scheme, and the payoff, it's no joke at all.

Phil Spencer has come through for Microsoft Corp, and that really isn't debatable. I think Phil Spencer has been a boon to Microsoft and (some) gamers with his vision, BUT we'd ALL like to see Microsoft reall...

I wish it were a do-or-die so Microsoft would get some motivation to compete with Sony, but it isn't, and they don't have to compete with Sony, and Xbox isn't going anywhere.
