There is a difference between the perceived majority and actually majority. There is a huge majority of the online gaming community who have a vocal anti-COD sentiment. What I mean is, the majority of gamers who visit fansites like N4G.com and gaming sites, seem like a huge majority but only because they're so vocal and in the space they occupy, they're a majority; But when you look at the entire gaming population, they're a small minority. This becomes evident every day when you ...
It didn't matter what they showed. There is a segment of the media that likes to hate on COD. I think the new direction is a risk but the trailer at least piqued interests in COD for the first time in a long time. The writer is a douche, who know the one thing the brings hits and writing about COD. Good or bad, debate about the franchise draws crowds.
Yeah, I think you guys are taking this a bit two seriously. I don't think the lore of both series intersect. They're two distinct properties with distinct worlds and histories that are unrelated to each other.
Read "Pachter disagrees" and that was enough for me. Pachter is always wrong, so whatever he says, the opposite is probably true.

I don't know where you're getting your information from but Activision announced that Modern Warfare 3 had outsold Black Ops only 3 months after its launch. MW3 is selling slower now than Black Ops did at this time last year, but I think that's because most of MW3's sales were front loaded.
I don't know where the media gets the impression that Call of Duty is on the decline. Each new iteration sells more than the last and with each new iteration the community gets larger. I haven't noticed a decline in the number of players at peak times playing Modern Warfare 3 and there are more players playing Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops than any other online shooter. Even Modern Warfare and World at War still maintain thriving communities. Call of Duty seems to be an ecosystem all...
Fable 2 was great. A great and natural evolution of the first game. You could even call it a re-imagining of the first game. It had a great story, great mechanics and I think those mechanics of gaining notoriety and being able to interact with large groups at a time would have served Fable 3 even better. In Fable 3 they made changes for making changes sake and it was huge step backwards.
I'm surprise he's lasted this long when these jerks who call themselves fans have long crossed the line. When they started saying nasty and hurtful things about his family and kid, that's where I would have drawn the line but he still managed to remain friendly and professional so kudos to him.
Agreed. The game is an unbearable shell of what Ninja Gaiden was. What made Ninja Gaiden special was the depth and challenge of the combat. It made the somewhat unimaginative story bearable. Ninja Gaiden 3 is just rubbish. It's a slap in the face to long time fans and with it's mediocre story and laughable combat, doesn't encourage new fans to the franchise or genre. I've already returned it to Gamefly. I will not waste my time with an attempt to finish it.
So we're going to really overlook how Sony is implicated in all this!? Seems the bigger story than something we already knew.
Yeah, infinitely better for the handful of people who have 3DTVs.
I've had my communications setting set to private since day 1. I don't hear anyone in public lobbies. Unless you're on my friends list I can hear you and you can't hear me. I don't use XBox Live to meet friends. I have convinced so many of my real life friends to get an XBox that I have a sufficient friends list.
The other shotguns didn't need to be buffed. They're amazingly effective, just not when compared to the Striker. I have 5 maximum proficiency/gold shotguns. The problem was, you only saw people using the Striker and quite effectively. But imagine a buff to the USAS12. That gun rapes faces. So does the Spas12 and AA12 shotguns. I admit, adjustments needed to be made to the Striker's rate of fire and/or range but buffing the other shotguns may have been a mistake.
What was promised and what was delivered were two different things, especially on consoles. The console game did not feel like a sequel to Battlefield 2. It played and felt like Battlefield Bad Company 2.5.
I really enjoyed the demo. Hopefully the final product is more polished but it's a buy for me at this point.

The sites like n4g.com and other gaming sites represent only a small minority of the gaming public.
Unreal Tournament's Flak Cannon; awesomesauce!
It's just been released so I don't know why anyone would expect a price cut. It would have to be tanking at retail for such a desperate move to be made.
Exploiting what is, one of the most broken spawn systems in multiplayer game. Priceless. Can't even blame the guy. They trapped them in their strong spawn and that was it.
EA is suffering from jealously; plain and simple. It's Medal of Honor refresh was mediocre and though Battlefield 3 was a good game, it didn't come close to challenging Modern Warfare 3, launched with it own set of problems and have seen its fair share of criticism from its community. Saying Call of Duty looks tired when Medal of Honor and Battlefield hasn't changed the FPS landscape any is a bit of a dick move.
