Because Sony isn't doing compatibility like MS is. They can't and don't have anything planned. Sony couldn't get boost mode to work properly, and instead fixed it in hardware. This means if compatibility is to exist with Playstation, there will be hardware limitations.
This is not something MS deals with, because they planned compatibility into their console almost a decade ago.
So PS5 will have no compatibility PS4?
That is not going to go over well. I wouldn't buy a device today if I had to rebuy all my games personally. Xbox ensured I wouldn' t have to.

I think MS has shown what their hardware division can do given the same technology as Sony is given from AMD. There is literally only a year apart between PS4 Pro launch and Xbox One X. In fact, MS could have delivered the monster the same time as PS4 Pro, last year. Instead they waited for the availability, pricing and adoption of 4k.
The most important thing to take from all this is that MS is showing some serious muscle when it comes to hardware ...

Scorpio Edition honoring the OG XB is so fitting considering the OG XB was the most powerful console at the time too. It was so far ahead with HD, LAN port and even XBL.
Playstation panicked last year and released just about every game they have in development. So now they are back in that mode, and since they already spilled most of the beans, that is what is left.

This game in preview state is better than 99% of the games out there. No wonder it is breaking every Steam recording to date.
With that in mind, PC version will be 1.0 when XB1 version releases, so expect awesomeness from the Xbox One version. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
