I purchased an 80 gig PS3 with Motorstorm back in October and since then I have tested every single PSone and PS2 game in my collection, which currently stands at 32 PSone games and 42 PS2 games.
None of my PSone or PS2 titles have experienced any playability problems on my 80 gig PS3; even my ancient copy of Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete plays without any hiccups.

From a business and accounting standpoint this was not an ethical decision on Take-Two's part because businesses are required to disclose any and all material events that could affect shareholder's or potential investors decisions; this is referred to as the Full Disclosure Principle.
Not abiding by these organizational accounting rules could result in an audit. Take-Two better hope they don't suffer any backlash from this.

I think your opinion on what he's intent was behind those words is correct. From the news I've read only Nintendo's software is selling in the millions on the Wii and most of the other stuff like all that home exercise software only fares well in certain retirement homes across the country (and possibly to fat lonely gamers that want to mess around and shed some pounds at the same time).
