I agree with you except for GOW: III. They should've had far more content being that it was released on the PS3. GOWII I played over and over again.
I actually enjoyed Crysis 2 MP. I never played single player more than once. Yes, It did borrow from halo and COD, but it was worth playing for hours on end. I especially liked the fact that you could cloak (take that campers), and that adding umpteen attachments to your weapons affected their mobility - ie..."realism".
If this game sucks, I will actually be sad. Too many letdowns these day. AVP.....letdown. Ninja Gaiden 3....letdown. Too much garbage getting past the filters. I'll buy this game on day one, only because the developers actually seem to give a damn about the story and gameplay, and got the blessing to make the content canon.

I'm still mad they killed soap. That was stupid. The campaign was better than MW2, and don't even get me started on how FORGETTABLE the campaign on black ops was.... HORRIBLE.

I own NGB, NG2, NGS, NGS2, and I have to say this game is pretty bad. In one section, you enter a room and hear the "muramasa shop" music. as you travel further, you see it's just a stupid jukebox. When you approach the jukebox, you get ambushed..... It's like they said "F*** YOU!!!" to all the fans of the prior games, and laughed about it.
They need to make a special edition "Ninja Gaiden 3: We're sorry"
There's more info about how it will handle used games, than info about actual games. Sony would be wise to remember how much of the playstations success has been due to backward compatibility. Obviously moreso with PS2, than PS3, but it helped them dominate and get where they are today.
I will not support any system that prevents me from playing used games. Just like I wouldn't support anything that prevented me from playing used DVD's, Blu-ray's, etc.

I bought the game even though there are bad reviews. This wasn't a good week for gaming it would seem. After the ninja gaiden and Operation Raccoon City review I smelled something fishy: called bull$hit. Ninja gaiden is bad, but doesn't deserve a 3. Same with this game. I would give it a 7. A solid, playable game. Not AAA, not even AA, but fun to play. There are annoyances, yes, but the score of a "3" suggests a completely broken, worthless, entertainment experience. I just ...
They should make an ending that makes me want to play through the game again.

I thought just like you did last week. "how bad can it be? why are people SO damn angry, they should get a life and move on!!!!" It was a thrill ride. For some folks, 5 years worth of gaming and tons of hours invested. Great story and characters, but they way they threw it all away was worse than the third matrix film.
I just chose to ignore the ending and play multiplayer. Much more satisfying. Even if you don't want them to ch...
The review, and the game itself, are just one big tragedy. As a gamer, i felt they could've kept the ridiculous story lines, just kept the combat and weapons in tact, and gave me less ridiculous enemies than were found in NG2. (giant armadillo turtles, anyone?) This should've never happened. IGN can do what they want, but they should've been honest about the game's potential during the MANY hands-on opportunities they had.
