I was under the impression that all gameplay footage was on PC not on any console.
And as far as not allowed to show your own footage I do believe other devs have done that before.

The game came out and if you didnt like it you could easily get a refund. Its a win for consumers since they get to play the story, maybe, and then refund.
I know that when I get my hands on it I wont be able to get a refund if i dont like it.

When did she become a killing machine and when did killing become a problem etc. It's top notch graphics with animations but the writing and character is poorly done. So many other more interesting characters out there in 2020

Youre making it seem like they were somehow sneaky with the release. The game released...all you have to do is play it and you'll see the difference.

Anyone who pre-ordered without waiting for the reviews on their platform of choice is a dimwit. Preordering is a stupid practice...especially through digital...I wish it had happened with a different game but I'm glad it backfired. Maybe some will grow a brain and stop preordering.
Cd projekt did not deserve all this.
They should stick to pc and forgo the consoles. Downsize their team back to how it was and continue to deliver great games.

Not to mention mass effect also gives the illusion of choice. Very few choices are actually meaningful past a couple lines of dialogue.
The witcher games have had strong linearity in their games since the beginning.
What they've had that others have failed to match is extremely strong side content with, at times, alternate endings.
Witcher 1 had substantial side content as well as witcher 2. Not to mention witcher 2 is still the king of branching storylines. You literally get a completely different experience depending on what you do from one chapter to the next.
