Thats great. I'm not knocking you for your choice. We all have our preferences. Just don't expect anything different from the twitch fest Call of Duty we have now.
There is no doubt that Sony has huge momentum going into launch. They have good press about their system, specs and developers altogether. They have proven talent in the developers they have.
I have no doubt in my mind that they have E3 lined up in their crosshairs. If there was any time to put the heat on the competition riding this wave of positive press, the time is now.
Why do I still find myself going back to Modern Warfare 1.
New engine means spending money which as we all know Activision is extremely fond of. Ghosts using an outdated engine has me convinced these guys are driven by greed and not artistic flair in this industry. We need some flair developers to shake things up a bit.
They don't have a focus on a single thing. They are trying to be everything and anything to the consumer and that can't be good. Xbox started as a games console and will be forever recognised as a game console and gaming is what they should have focused on at their reveal.
Being a jack of all trades has its cost.
15 exclusive TV deals
1. Deep Down.
Had me in disbelief as to how they managed to pull that off.
2. Awaiting anything PS4 related from Naughty Dog and Sony Santa Monica.
Jujubee88:
That's what went through my mind the first time I heard about cross play. Devs have been singing the praises of VITA and now recently PS4 as being easy to develop games for. There is loads of potential here with cross-play and remote play.
E3 should make it all clear.
You are not forced to have a VITA to play PS4 games unlike Kinect which is required to be on so the Xbox One can be used. There is a big difference there.
MS has taken their own sweet time to dispel some of the bad press from their below-par reveal doesn't inspire any confidence in me regarding the functionality of Kinect 2 with the Xbone.
Only completely unplugging the cam will have me convinced their intentions are in the users best interest and not to syphon valuable marketing data from said user.
.
Me thinks remote play is only the tip of the iceberg.
Unreal 4 and Panta Rhei
More console VS PC debate. I feel like i wanna put a gun to my head. Will this **** ever end?!
This is smart. Leaves E3 exclusively only for the games. If MS reveal both console and games at E3 they will be limited to what they can show off and since both consoles are going to be launched this year, its beneficial to show off all you can before putting it on store shelves. Though i hope MS follow suit with their own reveal before E3. Good times for us gamers.
This thread only serves to infuriate Sony fans. Gives the Xbox and Nintendo trolls a chance to take a swipe even if this topic is meant for "a little humour". Some are taking it way beyond that.
Xbox Next is Kinect focused. The late surge in 360 sales should spell it out for everyone as should the many leaks.
If its being sold with every Xbox, count me out.
It seems no matter what article gets posted the inevitable PC vs console argument always pops up.
And just a big LOL to PC users having to spell out that 1TB/s transfer rate blows the PS4's 180GB/s rate out of the water. Well, no s*** sherlock.
Sigh. Carry on...
Its a combination of all the right elements that gets me going batshit crazy over the possibilities with this platform.
The power is definately there but most importantly its the EASE OF USE that gets me most excited.
I get brain spasms and foam at the mouth when i think of this architecture in the hands of Naughty Dog and Santa Monica Studios.
I'm all for excessive detail and this game has crazy details but i hope to god they have a good number of car models available. Anything under 100 cars is not going to sit well with me. I don't expect Gran Turismo numbers but i don't want Grid 1 numbers either.
