You just compared an arcade racer (driveclub) to a sim racer (forza 5) and then in the same argument you state that Gran Turismo is the better competition. Way to contradict yourself mate. I think your debating skills need a bit of work. Driveclub and Forza cannot be compared, period. I find it quite ironic how Forza is suppose to be a simulation racer but yet it features baked in lighting and shadows, and Driveclub is sitting there with dynamic lighting and weather effects...

No MS didnt lose next gen, they just lost the gaming community. No biggie
$399 price point, upgradeable HDD, No DRM, PS+ mutliple account service to play online and no region locking for PS4 games AND you're complaining about a less than $5 montly fee to play online multiplayer????
And to the fact that PS+ already is incredible value for money as it is.
I dunno about you but the other plus points far outweight the less than $5 montly fee to play online.
This is a gamers console. This is for gamers. Kudos Sony.

Sony didnt need to come out and prove anything to the gamers. They have already proved their intentions back in February. Its MS that needed to prove that they are taking games seriously and that played to Sony's advantage. They could focus on indie dev support and hit MS where it hurt in price and no restrictions. The achilles heal has been removed. Ease of development is such a major plus for Sony, back that up with a diverse range of first party developer studios and you have a recipe for success.
I have no doubt PS4 will pull better numbers than PS3 at retail for this very reason.
I will go apeshit if they have Crash Bandicoot readied up for PS4 at E3 later on.
