I'm sure there will be some confusion along the line. The hardware revision is a little too close to the One in terms of design.
I would have liked if they played more on the 360's concave form to set it apart from the Xbox One. Oh well, this will still sell i'm sure.
They're trying to boost 360 sales with a hardware revision. Hardware revisions always sell but i can't help but think that the design of the new 360 could have been more carefully thought out. They obviously want to compliment the Xbox One with this new 360 model but in the end they end up imitating it which can lead to confusion. Just my 5c.

Sony is on a roll. They got a new marketing team. They are making their platform extremely attractive to developers. And they are backing potential IP's while bringing in fresh new ones of their own. Couple this with the easy nature of the PS4 platform and you have a Sony rediscovering their mojo. I will say it again, the PS4 is going to pull better numbers than the PS3 did and its not that too far fetched to suggest it might eclipse the PS2 as well.

IP's dont last forever. They become tired and stale. How many more iterations of Mario will save Nintendo. In the end all these iterations will become tired and stale like any other IP.
Nintendo needs fresh ideas to compliment Mario and their staple IP's to stay relevant. One IP can only do so much. Relying on that IP generation after generation will soon wear it out. I love Nintendo as much as the next guy but im dying to see them churn out fresh new ideas.
How exactly is MS going to kill Sony with Vita, PS3 and PS4 locked, loaded and ready to drop bombs.
Gran Turismo 6, The Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls already on their own are big enough titles to steal a considerable amount of the spotlight at any game conference. Add in DriveClub, Infamous Second Son, Killzone Shadowfall, Sony Santa Monica's new IP and the reveal of the PS4 system and you have one helluva statement of intent from Sony.
Offline co-op would have to take a graphical hit and i think GG wants to portray the game in the best light possible. Killzone has and will always be viewed as the "graphical" showcase for the playstation brand and this new generation wont be any different. We might see co-op in a later GG game into the PS4 life cycle. For now, WOW the audience with a spectacle and later when the engine and game mechanics is more refined and mature, introduce a more rounded and complete package. Eve...
What i cannnot understand is that MS has invited so many negative press on them. It just beggers belief how sour a reveal the Xbox One has been with the general gaming audience. That said, when you are refering to Apple and Google as competitors then it speaks volumes about where your priorities lie.

You don't need an expert to know the PS4 is ahead in processing power than the Xbox One. Sure Avalanche is a developer and they know about both system since they have to be working on them or know more about them but both machines have had their specs revealed, both are using the same architecture, but both have custom parts attached to those architectures with Sony's being faster.
