9800gtx on my system is very simular to the 8800gtx. Infact its just a die shink.
Plays all the current games at 1080 a claim the ps3 or 360 cannot make.
8800gtx > any current gen console

long time console gamer here. about 1yr back friend of mine had my pc upgraded to a gaming pc. Cost me like 170usd to add a gpu was a 9800gtx.
ever since then its been 1080p gaming for me on just about any multiplat or pc exclusive. whats more multiplats are so much cheaper on the pc i made up the money spent on the gpu in about 1 yr.
I still use my ps3 for its exclusives though, those rock. Multiplats its pc all the way now. ps3 just cant keep up quality wise or...

Steam has ME2 on its coming soon list. Its listed as a 27th release title.
It probably will be 15usd cheaper then the 360 version, which is a huge saving over 1 game.
I am seeing more and more of my friends convert to pc gaming, specially with services like steam out.
Since it allows all of us to play together (as you cant play cross platform xbox & ps3) PC is the best option.

ps3 has some good exclusives which i love.
Though i now majorly play on the pc, as most of the games just run better on pc.
exclusives are what makes the ps3 what it is. Take the xbox for example it hardly has any good games.
I love my PS3 for its exclusives, but multiplatform games i just go PC. The games are cheaper and the overall experience just is better.
Then you got a whole list of PC exclusives. Next year pc gets so many games that wont be on the PS3. I wont repeat it since someone already posted the list afew posts before.
i agree with most you have to say. However i disagree on pc being costly for most ppl.
I used to exclusively play on the ps3 up until a year back.
Then a friend of mine advised me to upgrade the gpu on my pc. I got myself a 9800gtx which was a small upgrade of 180usd. much cheaper then getting a console.
My pc which is my working pc already had a dual core cpu. so it was a small investment for me.
now my pc runs all the games at the hige...
well they dont care as long as its selling 10million+ copies
while the game development costs are minimum.
i love the ps3 for its exclusives.
i find it expensive to game on for multiplats. so i use steam for all my multiplats.
Dragonage PC is my rpg goty.
uncharted series has been good. calling it the best game in the gen is unfair.
Steam still doesnt list this game. I wonder if they will have a preorder discount. This game at 45usd will be great.
i wonder if this game will be worth the purchase. guess i might wait if steam has it on their christmas discount. i might pick it up.

why buy a 360 just to have it fail.

just another multiplat my ps3 will have to sit out on. i will be getting a dx11 gpu for this and crysis 2.

thats why i am getting a dx11 gpu.. no way i am playing crysis2 on my ps3, i just play exclusives on my ps3 now.
its about 600usd in the usa.

its way out of my budget, though i do have a 9800gtx atm. I might upgrading that to a 5850 when nvidia releases their line up. waiting for a price drop.
you probably havent seen games running on a pc to make claims like "dont look that much different"

i got my 9800gtx 1yr back cost me like 170usd back then. that stomps xbox 360 in everyway. its a 2yr old card, which proves state of the art pc isnt required. even a midrange outclasses the xbox.
dont need an uptodate pc to play games.
any current gen games run better on a 3yr old pc in comparison to consoles.
console gaming is much more expensive in the end then pc gaming, while its just not upto the graphics quality of the pc.
with how much extra console games cost, you could build youself an all new rig in about 3-4yrs time.
