Currently, as a GAME, yes, definitely, and NMS devs should be applauded. Also, the clouds in NMS are a wonder to behold, compared to SC's first iteration which are just a single curved '2d' texture deck over the planet.
Apart from that though, I get more pleasure spending time on a moon in SC than on NMS... It's just what this kind of production value does for you I suppose. If SC actually implements basic missions in those areas (something they didn'...
I mean, it's called adult because it's not a game for kids, because it has sexual content like this.
"How come the intimacy mode is getting removed from Senran Kagura Re:Newal when it was available in Shinovi Versus and Peach Beach Splash on the PS4 without garnering widespread negative attention? "
So if they censored that you would be happy ?
I'm sorry everyone is so upset that you can't have characters that look like 12 year olds wearing skimpy clothing being sexually touched in a videogame.
Maybe, just maybe, the...
They should just go with cosmetics instead. They can make a cash cow without pissing off too many people.
November is pretty much always like this. Crazy amount of money.
Correct, they obviously weren't serious, but you have to draw a line somewhere, and Bethesda decided to draw the line here.
They don't want to risk people being genuinely distraught by this stuff while playing their game, and I can understand + it's a PR thing. It's an online game after all. I found the act really funny myself, especially the way the players were saying it. It's like they formed an in game cult and it's really funny, but at the end o...
This is Bethesda's game. I think we can understand if they don't want that kind of humour on their servers.
@kayoss
You can say that about half of comedy, but it doesn't work like that. Lots of humour targets certain groups.
At the end of the day you just have to be careful what you say and when you say it. If you say the wrong the joke and the wrong time don't be surprised when people find it too much and call you out.
It's just them being edgy with dark humour, but it went too far and became too distasteful.
I can see how this kind of thing can be funny. I laughed at the way they said "Cleansing of the Queers". It's ridiculous, and that's the point. However if you're doing this you have to use common sense. Maybe in a party of close friends who know and appreciate that kind of silly humour, but otherwise not surprised they got banned. If you do want to do this k...
The one which prevents games with clearly underage looking characters being ridiculously sexualized. I don't know if it oversteps it's bounds, but I'm glad they're filtering out ridiculous content like that.
"Oh but it's just a game and that girl who looks like a 12 year old is actually 200 years old" - this kind of nonsense obviously won't fool anyone. It's not surprising Sony wants to filter out content that most people would look at...
I'm so glad it's FP. They're so much more immersive in general.
" Option has to be there as how 'I' want to play. "
No. Option does not have to be there.
Many times you have to compromise on 'options' if you want to deliver on a particular vision. If you constantly give in to 'play the way you want to play', you can end up with a 'meh' game instead of an amazing game.
Rockstar is way bigger and has much more resources than CDPR to be able to pull off both ...
It will be a technical marvel at the very least. I can't imagine how impressive it will be...
Or maybe people just like the progress CIG show and don't mind supporting it. You can say what you want, but they keep showing epic shit that other games don't come close to. That epic shit makes it into game in a year or two.
Just now there's a release in a limited test group that has the first full planet and city on it. It's absolutely mindblowing the way they're doing things.
It's money and time.
They'll need more money AND more time to realize their vision. Not too much longer for a really cool game experience.
Probably another 10 years for the full 100 star systems (lol). but that's okay because at the current scope of the game, just one solar system fleshed out (and basic game mechanics that don't keep bugging out), will impress you more than 99% of games out there.
It's funny, if you were in the community and keeping up with the game, this year (especially now with the latest release) is a huge leap, and just converted a lot of people from pessimistic to optimistic.
If you said the same thing in 2016, I would agree with you, because that was a bad year. Probably even 2017. right now we're seeing so much progress (even amidst a ton of delays mind you).
For the first time in two years, I'm confident th...
It's funny how n4g comments are going to be when the game becomes more and more enjoyable. It already just took a huge leap this year, and their SP campaign hasn't come out yet.
Oh well, we'll just have to keep waiting and watching won't we ?
As a PC gamer, I'm super excited to see what PS exclusive devs (and XBOX for that matter - they're ramping up this time) do with consoles. This gen is impressive, but you can still always see the limitations. With the new console CPUs, things are going to be different.
We're in for some technological marvels at the very least. Just imagine what Naughty Dog will do on a PS5... \
bullshit argument. Violence is not sex. they aren't the same.
There's a reason pornography is pornography. There's a reason most people wouldn't mind playing a violent game in front of parents, but would want to be seen watching porn in the same situation. Why is that ? Or is this all false and I'm just imagining it ? All these people must be stupid right ?
I'm sure you wouldn't mind playing a porn game in front of friends and ...
@JEECE
" illegimate criticism of the game (that there are women in it)"
In a WW2 game. That's not 'illegitimate'. That makes perfect sense. EA and DICE want to do it because of the cosmetics monetization (which is cool if it means free DLC) and to pander to people.
They also did it at the cost of the creative aspect of a WW2 game. They're kind of paying for that, because people see through the bullshit. People see throu...
