Actual quote :
"I know there are elements — whether it’s God of War or Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Last of Us, other games have similar elements to this. I feel like we’re at a level that’s above that, a level of connection and acting and characterization. But of course, I’m very biased. "
Doesn't sound very arrogant to be honest
More context :
"I feel like, hopefully, if it all works on an emotion...
"and in the US now you are guilty until proven innocent"
What ? Since when lol. That's not the case.
Are you referring to social media ? That's not the same thing. Obviously if you get an allegation against you your social life is fucked for a while, but that's how it is everywhere, and that's just a problem with false rumours and allegations in general.
Really ?
It's essentially the same thing as saying 'dick measuring context'.
I mean, I get the need to be professional, but there needs to be a balance. This is nothing more than a crude metaphor, and most people would agree it is no grounds to fire someone.
"ME3...ending"
We don't talk about that here.
Game just isn't for you then.
Plenty of people love the game for the same reasons others don't like it - detail and simulation rather than just checklist gameplay.
"Some of the third party switch conversions have been amazing"
Were any of them comparable to Ark though ? There's a lot going on in Ark. It's not like Doom or Wolfenstein which is small levels with a lot of static geometry and lighting.
Ark is prettymuch your worst case scenario for performance in games. Open world, fully dynamic, quite a bit of simulation going on, lots of vegetation etc. I'm not saying it couldn't be better o...
" and the ability to set a Push-to-Talk button to enable voice chat."
Why was this not there at launch ? The game apparently has lots of issues on the creative and design side (I haven't played), but it's clear that this was rushed out, despite clearly knowing it was not ready for release.
It felt a bit lifeless to me.
I think this is because this is a very early build with most of the focus on tech and basic gameplay prototyping. I don't think the art or detail is even close to final. I know it's difficult to fill out such scale with detail, but it feels like they need more.
As far as the technical side goes - it's very impressive.
Misleading shit article. That dev spoke common sense. If artists strongly believe in something, ofcourse they might put that in their art. Dragon Age has always been 'political'. If you don't think so then you haven't been paying attention.
but the community here will lap this up because of the clickbait. This is the kind of shit that makes gamers look stupid and just hurt you when there are many valid cases of 'sjw'
Did you even read the tweets.
Will TLOU 2 fail because it 'caters to SJWs' ? Clearly they are pushing a message too. No, TLOU 2 will most likely come out to 10/10 everywhere. The difference is unlike Battlefield 5, everything they do will fit into the game world. It won't feel forced and corporate.
Art is political by nature, especially when the material touches upon stories like this. Obviously if the artists have certain beliefs, they might want to put that into their art.
Read the tweets. He just spoke common sense.
Article is clickbait.
Read article please. Read tweets.
Just another clickbait title.
I mean, porn doesn't have to be categorized by full nudity. You don't need something to have full nudity to be pornographic honestly.
You can have fully nude content that isn't very sexual, and partially nude content that is very sexual.
@Rachel_Alucard
You can call it 'cure culture' if you want, but it doesn't change what it is. It is disgusting to most people and no one should expect to give it a pass because "oh it's just the art style they're not really that old"
LOL exactly.
I'd support this anti-censorship movement if half those games didn't have characters designed to look like 12 year olds.
It looks very good, but not next gen good. What I mean by that is it's the same kind of quality we've been seeing from exclusives like Uncharted 4 and TLOU 2.
Very high production value and everything, but not crazy scope and physics and stuff that you'd expect to be possible only on next gen console CPUs.
Was it just a few characters or was it a general group of soldiers ?
I mean, it's a pretty realistic and authentic game in quite a few regards, and aims to tell a 'realistic', detailed story. Don't be surprised when people expect them to recreate some semblance of a WW2 theme. There is something called suspension of disbelief...
It's because some people go too far and are too toxic. That's all. People see that and say "Entitled gamers", the problem being that they are putting anyone who's complaining.
Ofc in this case its silly. Looking at the comments it was normal.
