42 Million sold can be correct and be completely misleading at the same time.
All 3rd party warranty replacements contribute to retail sales but not installed base.
Example:
Kid buys 360 at Best Buy with 2 yr replacement plan.
360 breaks down and kid has it replaced under the plan.
Store process is to provide replacement from store stock.
The warranty company then reimburses Best Buy for 1 replacement 360.

in GT5's garage view.
It can't be done in game because it basically requires the Cell processor to run full-tilt on ray-tracing rather than physics, ai, etc.
Ray-tracing isn't really feasible on PC GPUs due to architectural limitations.
GPU Raytracing (on 3 Nvidia F100) demonstrates a pathetic 2fps.

"a great consumer brand."
Ever.
Panasonic is an example of a once great consumer brand that has declined considerably.
Samsung and Apple are the great success stories of the brand wars.
Samsung is cheap chic and apple simply inspires lust.
Frankly, I don't know why people even read reviews.
Having said that, Molyneux hasn't produced anything good in years.
The first Fable on the original Xbox really was special and inspired many other games but it's been downhill since then.

How did this get approved?
QUOTE:
"AMD's solution has much in common with Sony's, but is fundamentally different in many ways. The fact that the God of War III MLAA operates on SPU has some very specific advantages - the Cell's satellite processors are far more flexible in terms of how they can be programmed, leading some to believe that GPU implementations will struggle to match the quality level."
That's why the LucasArts DLAA (their own variety of shader ba...
It's two dirt cheap off-the-shelf CMOS sensors
CMOS 1: 640x480x30fps (equivalent to $10 webcam)
CMOS 2: 320x240x30fps (equivalent to $5 keychain digital cam)
They have way too many colors and shapes.
The PS2 and PS3 came out with classy, contemporary, and expensive looking cases and I would be surprised if the PS4 deviated from that theme.
Should be interesting to see if it will reduce the number of movies they hold in those boxes.
$2/night is the right price to entice people.
Believe it or not, people are more attracted to $2 than $1.75. That's because most people can't handle decimals and find it off-putting.
Whole numbers FTW!
is that they made it too fast, too exciting, and too sophisticated.
History doesn't lie. Simple, stupid and slow is all it would have taken (and a few bribes) to get 10s.
Forza 3 cannot support more than 8 cars with around 50,000 polygons (actual data from LOD files extracted from the Forza 3 disc, selection screen models are about 150,000 polygons).
GT5 renders 16 cars with 200,000 polygons (in-game models) with full interior rendering, animated driver, etc,
Transparencies (very resource intensive) are plentiful on GT5 but sparse in Forza 3.
The big difference is the Cell processor which is faster at running ...
Kinect being 50% of the resolution of the PS2 Eyetoy means it's imprecise, and a mediocre CPU with limited bandwidth and L2 Cache results in lots of lag.
The video below shows a level of precision and responsiveness that's never been demonstrated on Kinect:

So far none of the actual Kinect games have shown anything ...
considering no one seems to know about it.
Credit to Sony for using real numbers rather than resort to bottom-feeder tactics like saying it's "sold out" or some other vague, meaningless, and deceptive statement.
Ever heard of the theory of relativity?
Then again, it is a theory, isn't it?
When I see GT5 rendering 16 cars at 60fps with such high fidelity at 50% better resolution than it's competitors on what's basically an over-clocked Nvidia Geforce 7900GT, I am almost moved to agree with you.
Surely Kazunori Yamauchi has sold his soul to the devil to circumvent the laws of reality.
Here's some supporting evidence: ...
you won't see Insomniac claiming they make the "definitive" FPS.
He does make a good point about censorship too.
The same idiots who are clamoring for censorship by the government to get the government to do what parents are supposed to do are the same ones who are clamoring for "smaller government."
Sadly, we live in a time when people are so stupid that they have both beliefs without realizing the contradiction.

Keep it up Dougie boy! (Douglas is his middle name)
pretty excited. Getting rid of otherOS was a big blow to many projects that had planned on purchasing PS3s to exploit the Cell processor.
This purchase is Microsoft saying "why do with software what could be done worse in hardware?"
