I think some people are failing to consider that from the get go, Microsoft called it a premium product for the hardcore gamers who want the best fidelity. This is not aimed at the masses.
Personally I was not satisfied but I still don't 100% agree with half the crticisim on this site. Some are legit, others a pure fanboy outcry for a brand they say they will never buy from.
Good. That's it. They showed games, a good amount of exclusives, but they lacked the exclusive were you'd go Wow. The price, obviously was not great, but they made it clear from the start this is a PREMIUM product. For the hardcore gamers who wants the best performance, and that's what it is.
Yet I was disappointed in the lack of AAA. That really was a sore spot. The exclusives they have announced, AA and AAA covers them up till Q1 2018, what about beyond that? ...
The engineering that went into the One X is unique enough. The price justifies the effort and the hardware put into the box and the performance it will output. But MS needs to further justify the software side of things. The need AAA along with a balance of indies to push the platform.
They had two phrases
Xbox One and Windows 10 Exclusive (So Full MS Exclusive)
Xbox One Launch Exclusive (Timed, most likely to be released on Steam later on as said by Gaynor)
Out of those "Xbox One Launch Exclusive" I think at least half of those will appear on PS4.
Lol, as soon as they announced Scorpio, these comments were filled with estimates of $600 to $700.
$500 is still pretty heavy but for the hardware you get it's reasonable. Still need more AAA games to justify it. If they announced at least one or two AAA newly announced games which showed it's 4K Glory. Most people would of appreciated that instead of bashing how it's DOA. Microsoft still have a lot of work to do.
Pretty much expected Console Launch Exclusive meant timed so it will appear on other consoles but just saw this tweet by Steve Gaynor of Tacoma:
https://twitter.com/fullbri...
Console Launch Exclusive means it's not going to appear on any other console (Not sure if just for Tacoma tho)
It's worth it for me after i trade in my S. I have already got a 4k tv to to justify the purchase. I hope at gamescom they reveal their AAA exclusives coming soon, as it's pretty odd they never revealed any yesterday.
Wow, you really don't like Xbox to say all that BS and downplay the X power difference.
Well the original launched for 499. Considering this does not include Kinect, and will be the most powerful console in the market which caters gamers first, t'd say they have pretty great shot.
Nah, that's just fake news.
1) Microsoft is giving a skewed account of where the profit is actually being made!
So Microsoft a billion dollar company is giving false information to investors a.k.a committing fraud? 😒
I think their dedication to the console say's it all. People doubted them at first, but it seem's Phil Spencer is not messing around in the gaming space. Hopefully their dedication also transcends into the games. 55 Days Left!!
Its designed by the engineers of the windows surface, which is incredibly sleek. I'm sure it'll be fine.
I have a feeling all the delay's of exclusives, cancellations is down to accommodate Scorpio's release. E3 as always will be interesting, want see some GREAT games from all camps.
Is that the figure for the CPU or overall? I'm fairly sure from what I have read the Scorpion is fairly more powerful than the pro.
So MS paid DF to tell a fact?. That the Scorpio is a more powerful console than the pro......
Forza running 4K with only 66% utilisation of GPU is pretty damn impressive.
And let's be honest, with your history here, nobody expects you to say anything positive about Xbox.
@Overload
"The 360 probably accounts for some too, but still....."
The Xbox 360 was discontinued almost a year ago. These figures would not include the 360 as MS have stopped manufacturing.
I think the difference this time is, Microsoft are actually doing something about cross play and are making moves with Minecraft and Rocket League.
