No they didn't, the guardian article is referring to the investor call in the start of Jan. In March, EA estimated a combined 60m for both consoles.
It's from back in October. To be honest with PS4 NEO and all, they maybe not want to keep the consoles static for long.
@BitbyDeath
You might want to read the article you linked, it's shipped to retailers. Not sold through.
They're using the numbers EA released in January 2016.
According to VGChartz, Xbox One surpassed just over a month ago.
Also EA have stated that both consoles combined, have reach 60m in March - http://www.gamespot.com/art...
So I'm pretty sure Sony has passed 40m and Xbox 20m
This article...
I think it's got to do with those rumours of PS4.5 or Xbox One.5
Anlyst consider many factors when producing expected results. It could be they're expecting more powerful versions of the console or they're expecting this generation to last less than 5 years.
We really don't know what margins they used.
I think those number maybe a little conservative. In six years from launch the 360 had around 60m and PS3 at 57m. I think 95m for PS4 and 60-65m for Xbox One.
PS2 was around 100m in it's six years from launch. PS4 would definitely come close.
Your analogy is flawed. Consoles survive on the support of games being developed for it. If there's a variety in hardware power. Problems with arise.
"No it has not. It's a split.
This game is average at best... Doesn't mean you won't enjoy it just means it ain't the hit you guys was hoping it was going to be.
No reply value
No online.
QB= average"
So you've played the game?
Getting good reviews does not mean the game is average.
No The Order 1886 can be considered an average game. It's reviews were actually split. From...
See, this is why I don't understand N4G. Why do you have 10 disagrees?
8 is a good score, but looks like some cant accept it.
@Decrypt
Your analogy makes no sense. Consoles are different. For consoles theres a necessity of buying games. If mid gen Sony come out with an upgraded version of a console, they will obviously face backlash. What would devs prefer? make games for the ps4 or a ps4.5 which has more powerful specs and, which allows them to aim higher. Instead of releasing a new console (PS5) they're wishing to chase more sales to get current owners to buy another console. Same would go for MS if th...
it's about 5 or 6 bad reviews against 40+ great scores. Far from polarizing to be honest.
Well there have been very few mixed reviews and those would get the most hits compared to the lot that have given the game 8+
From the reviews, the game seems very well made which is not surprising because it is remedy.
I've only recently be watching his content. Are any of his reviews good?
If the neogaf rumours point to be true, Why doesn't Sony just hold it back for the PS5, I mean it'd be a huge middle finger to those 37m+ who bought the console.
Wow, I really love the art style they're aiming for.
Well $299 ;)
NPD is only the US. They're most likely referring to world wide.
Well everyone did go mental on the news of an upgradeable xbox, calling MS for ruining the console industry. The never even announced anything but just floating the idea out there. But these rumours are actually gaining steam.
Despite all the hate going for nintendo for this controller, if it actually exists, then i am definitely curious of how it will work.
Thats high. Not 30m, but I'm sure by now it's close to 21 or 22m. 18m seems way too low at this stage. Also has anyone got a source for the article?
