This has nothing to do with what I talking about. I am pointing out the industry is slowly capping off what they are capable of and software and development are moving more into the direction of optimizing their games and finding cheaper alternate solutions with software tools that are already in OpenGL/Direct x11 like what mantel and G-sync are showing off right now with their perspective company.
Optimization and maturation of the tools matter way more than what is under the hood in most cases. When you have GPU scalers like Tile Rendering in a few years that extra 20-30% won't mean anything.
Also, you are getting dislikes because of you elitist attitude when you really have very little clue what you are talking about.

It plays like every other hack and slash games with interesting additions and modifications. So you must hate the hack and slash genre as a whole.
Go look at the footage posted up on gaf and reddit, looks the same if not better than the trailer. Also, Crytek said in the stream that the cut scenes are in game not prerendered. Try harder troll.

So it seems it has been a mixed bag, but I would say that the majority of reviewers have been surprised by how deep it actually is.

So bored of this argument, I think Forza, Ryse, DR all look fantastic. Clearly this is going to be great generation, I just wish people could leave the biased stuff at the door. They have a special division of the cloud called Thunderhead just for X1 and it makes up almost 20% which is definitely not small. The entire new warehouse in Chicago they bought with over 300,000 servers are linked directly to XBL. You have no idea what their plans are and if it were possible then why did games not take advantage of this. Simple way too expensive at the time and had to build your own server-side AI from scratch.

Right MS spent 700 million dollars on hot air, we have already seen dedicated servers free for all devs and off-loading AI to the cloud and this is only launch, so how in the blue hell is this hot air. So I guess the article they did the other day about reasons to buy PS4 over XB1 was also a paid advertisement. Sigh..
It is crazy how delusional PS gamers are at this point. Off-loading AI and Dedicated Servers have already been shown at this point and this is just launch, also they didn't spend 700 million on PR talk about the cloud.

OT: Agree with most of the points listed. I want a console that can do everything and do it quickly. My wife is excited about a lot of the features as well.
