and people seemed to be able to at least play the game. It did not appear broken but it was on a beautiful tv and it looked like crap. I'm not saying anything against Nintendo or the Wii but it would never grace my 60". I liked the effort put into SMG and it did not appear that this game recieved the same attention.

I'm not sure if last gen didn't have as many multiplatform games but I don't recall so many blockbuster games having so many issues right after release.

The only thing this game needs is the "beat up picture" of your opponent after the match but injury specific to what occurred during the match.
If someone used low kick the whole match then your fighter should be in a wheel chair. If Balrog made your face and ribs into mash potatoes then that should be the pic.

I know that if it works like COD4 matchmaking does then I don't want it till it's ready. there is no particular genre for the PS3. It doesn't have the reputation of being a shooters console like the 360. Not that the 360 doesn't have other games but the games that get the most publicity, hype, and advertising dollars are shooters. That is what gives the 360 it's reputation.
