I like Lair. I was playing it yesterday as a matter of fact (showing it to my cousin). When it came out I said it was a 9 but in retrospect I was too generous. It's a solid 7 and maybe 7.5 for being like nothing else out there. I hope they make Lair 2 and put the effort into it like they are doing with Killzone becaue it really could be epic with some work and a lot of time to get some things smooth.
abusing the customers you have is no way to get ahead. I think that they argue that people who don't pay shouldn't hold up people who do from downloading and extending queues but if you feel that way then it should have been that way from the start. You can't pull it now. That's a real slap in the face.

are normally fairly accurate based on how I feel after I play a game but they don't line up 100% (no one does). They are more consistent to me than a lot of sites but...
I trust no gaming site on whether I purchase or not. I'm a gamer so I play and make my own decision.

but I liked Lair. I'm a big fan of dragons and shooting crap with fire. I also don't mind the sixaxis being used in games as it's a nice change of pace. I didn't have the problems a lot of reviewers had. For those who played Lair and didn't like it I can dig it. It's not everybody's cup of hot cocoa. they used there best programmers because of the different architecture that the PS3 has. The 360 is more traditional and as we all know, easier to program.

Sony needs to work on the marketing for Killzone 2 almost as much as they need to work on the game itself. They have to make sure they create an great looking game with solid gameplay but they need to follow MS example in marketing to an extent.

I'm not going to buy another 360 in 3 years. That's stupid. That goes for my PS3 as well. If it dies after the warranty it's either getting fixed or my PS3 days are over.

The creativity that is possible with this game is awe inspiring. I really can't wait to see what others come up with and how it compares to mine and inspires me to do more and outrageous things in games. This will also give some game developers an idea of what we actually want to see in a game.
