From the way they've been playing down the open world aspect I was pretty much expecting the game to actually use separate closed in areas like Arkham Asylum, just with a city feel. It's good to see it's actually truly open world and the world looks incredible.
The main reason Uncharted is so well loved is because it's the best and most seamless integration of cutscenes, scripted moments and gameplay in any game so far made.
If any developers need to learn how to better use cutscenes it's Rockstar, I'd say. The whole gameplay style of 'go to this marker on the map/watch cutscene/go perform task/repeat' is getting really old.

I'm not gonna give these people ten page views like they can't fit ten paragraphs on a single page but as far as settings for levels in games goes I'd say,
1. Docked boat (Not every game has a level on a docked boat but many do and it's always unsurprisingly the dullest level. I mean, why not at least have a boat out at sea??)

New Vegas did have way more content than Fallout 3 and improved on many things but I just couldn't get into it even though Fallout 3 is one of my top games of all time. It just lacked the atmosphere and it didn't feel at all post apocalyptic.

The first two without a doubt but I think anyone who's complaining about what's being done with the CoD franchise should be willing to say the same about what's being done with Assassin's creed. AC 2 was brilliant but Brotherhood was the most shameless rehash I've seen outside of the Street fighter series and revelations looks to be exactly the same.
Sorry but I'm a huge Batman fan and I have to agree. Robin is just not cool, he'll never be cool. Jason Todd had his moments but his death was the only one that approached true coolness.

The trouble is, GTA 3-san andreas were so amazing because nobody else was doing anything like that, it was fresh, crazy and new. After those games saw huge success everyone and their ugly mother decided to bring out their own open world psycopath simulator game until it became such an overstuffed genre it was impossible for anyone to stand out by doing that kind of thing.

I agree but to be fair motion controls in general are a bust. The Wii sold well because non-gamers heard about the motion controller and were excited by the concept. Once Microsoft and Sony got round to bringing out their versions, the hardcore gamers realised what a limited experience motion controllers are and the casual gamers didn't bother upgrading because they already bought their Wii and that was enough for them.
