Crazy how the guys who made Titanfall are the ones who made call of duty and medal of honor, but are competing franchises (or were)

FLOPS is a measurement of computer power. It was standardized by the IEEE, it's the same for all computers.

SONY does well in America and Europe also

SONY became successful because of American technology. They licensed the transistor from bell labs and made portable transistor radios.

from what I've seen, most games see a drop in performance in dx12. I think it's nvidia cards that are seeing performance drops.

"I enjoy PC gaming, and just built an i5-6600k and 1070 (to me) monster with Windows 10, and I plan to get Scorpio next year (and skipping PS4 Pro since I just got another PS4 this past xmas), but as you say they all have advantages and disadvantages. None of them are really what they purport to be. "

EA bought DICE before the first bad company games were even made. It was probably EA that wanted to make bad company since the consoles at the time couldn't really run the regular battlefield games.

Toslink is not used as much since it can't support the hd audio formats on bluray. So sending the signal to tv, than through optical would be a downgrade vs hdmi to receiver. I think sony knows what's up since they help create S/PDIF (Sony/Phillips Digital Interconnect Format) and also bluray

The difference is pretty noticeable between the ps4 and xbox version. Looks like xbox version doesn't use aa or maybe they both don't ps4 higher resolution helps.

I don't think it will do 4k/60fps either, but if it upscales to 4k from 1080p than the games will look the same as the ps4 neo or whatever it's called since that will most likely upscale to 4k also. They are saying scorpio will be the "most powerful" console so it will be a big fail if it upscale 1080p because the neo shouldn't have a problem doing 1080p/60fps.

I saw a video where a guy jumped on the enemy ship and they couldn't even attack him. They need to put some kind of combat system because not being able to board enemy ships and kill them is weak.

Almost all modern power supplies use active pfc, did the old xbox one not have one? You shouldn't go cheap on the power supply.

AMD probably can't be beat on pricing. The public made it clear that they don't want expensive consoles when ps3 was announced so the console makers have to work on keeping price low. So even if this is a design win for amd, there probably wasn't much if any competition.

I don't think valve is worried about windows store. Windows store games are basically console games on pc(they have many restrictions). I think it would be stupid to buy a uwp version of a game when they have exe version available. Click the link for more info

I keep seeing this said by people on here. Where are you getting this info? Yes, more than half PC gamers do not play at 1080p according to the steam survey. That's because they are using higher than 1080p (multi monitor) You cant even buy low res monitors anymore.

A teraflop is a measurement that isn't specific to nvidia or AMD. FLOPS is short for floating point operations per sec. I think you are confusing it with "cores" on the gpu. AMD usually have a higher number of cores than a similar performing nvidia gpu.

If they develop their game using UWP it would be exclusive to windows store. So if they make a game using UWP, they can't put their game on any of the many other stores on pc. (steam, gog, gmg, amazon, etc)

well they pretty much gave up on xbox one. They already announced their next gen console so I would think they'll start developing games for that. Were there any new xbox games announced at e3 (first party)?

steam survey
1920x1080 - 36.81%
1280x720 - 1.41%
3840x1080 -30.21% (multi monitor)

The only people running games at 720 would be tablet or laptop (old ones) users. 720p monitors aren't even sold anymore.
