It bears mentioning that all the titles you listed are remakes. Yes they're good games but they're remakes. The World Ends With You could have contended for one of those spots though.
Should have said Jrpgs, because I think both Oblivion and Fallout 3 are better than all of those games. And even if it is just Jrpgs I still disagree. Folklore does not belong on that list.
I've been waiting a long time for a quality city builder to follow Simcity 4. This game is looking like it could take the crown.
If Infamous is fun I'll play it. If it has better graphics than Prototype? Cool. If it has worse? Also cool. I guess the outcome is only riding on the fanboys' shoulders, because I don't really care.
Can't say I'm surprised or excited for that matter.
Yes but the difference is that the PS3 costs much more to produce because of the bluray player inside of it. As long as Microsoft keeps selling games and digital content, I don't think they would care that Sony does the same. The author of this piece seems to imply that people buying full games over Psn would stop people from buying content for 360 via digital distribution.
"So now we have Sony playing the role of Blu-ray format and are about to take control of the digital d...
Wow, I should have seen that coming.
The first Uncharted was fun but way too short in my opinion. I completed it on crushing in less than 5 hours. Let's hope their second effort is a bit lengthier.
Personally I think the PS3 and the 360 could have been the same console. They have extremely similar games and graphics technology. The Wii on the other hand is a completely different animal with an entirely different way of playing the games.
Motion control in today's application in the Wii and the PS3 at this point is nothing more than a gimmick in most games. Developers need to design games around the technology rather than just slap it on preexisting game structures.
Wow, what a waste of code this article is.
I've only played the first in this series and man was it a weird game. I'm actually surprised this game has a large enough following that they've made 3 installments of it.
With more reliable hardware, better out of the box features and a growing library of games, I would say the PS3 is better. I would rate the 360 very good as well but the crippling failure rates have left their mark on me.
It actually looks very good and the combat looks fun and fast paced. The other star Ocean games never sat well with me, but this one looks a lot better despite the terrible voice acting.
That certainly is an interesting perspective to take. Sony's first party titles in the past were largely overshadowed by their 3rd party exclusives. This year seems to be changing that with Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, and God of War III all first party exclusives.
Talking to drunk cabaret girls, hell yeah. Really though don't expect this to come to the states.
Thats a considerable number seeing as how there are fewer than a million 360s sold in japan.
Most Jrpgs involve a merry band of characters that join together to save the world. Team Ico games are nothing like that.
Looks pretty good for a DS game. I'll probably give this a rent when it comes out.
Kaz must have been mistaken. If the competition is putting out newer and better hardware, Sony is going to follow suit. I personally don't think the PS3's hardware is going to hold up for 10 years. Firmware updates can only go so far.
