Hopefully if this game sells well enough in Japan, Sega will be able to afford releasing it in other territories. I'm seriously keeping my fingers crossed for this to happen. It took Yakuza 2 a while, but it did eventually make it over, so there's hope.

Even with this piracy problem Microsoft seems to be selling software. They have a higher attach rate than any other system.

It wouldn't have to scan the whole drive. The games you downloaded from the service would have a tag that it would recognize and require you to delete the old game if you wanted to download another one. It could have self-deleting functionality like music for the zune, when you fail to pay for your account.

Besides, this may not be possible due to a number of reasons, but I would very much like it if it was. I think it's more a matter of getting the rights to all of the games mor...

If you didn't delete it, it would stop you from downloading a new one until you did. And if you didn't delete the game you had, your account would be charged for the price of the game.

Fat Joe likes it? Sign me up!

In reality I've never heard of Fat Joe or why I should care what he thinks.

What sony should implement if possible, is a virtual store where you can buy, but also rent old PS1 and PS2 games. It would work like gamefly, and you would be able to download a certain amount of games for how much you pay each month. When you want to return it, you delete the game, and download another one. I know that I would utilize something like this as I'm a huge old-school gamer.

While some games have terrible achievement conditions, (like the ones in the article) I believe they are actually a pretty cool idea. In certain games getting points for something I would do anyways is cool, but achievements open up new possibilities for things I might not do. If a game has exceedingly bad achievements, I just ignore them.

Just got this and for the most part its great. About the only bad thing I've noticed so far was the audio in space harrier. The music doesn't sound the same. Apart from that, having save states for every game is a godsend as some of them are brutally hard. It makes me mad that square-enix doesn't do this with their old library of games, because they make more money selling them individually.

The truth is the used game retailers rob you blind. They pay $15 to $20 dollars say for a barely used game and turn around and sell it for $50. My figures may not be exact, but I don't trade in games and I rarely buy used games anymore because of this issue.

Failure rate notwithstanding the 360 is a great game machine. It offers numerous games in every genre and has a great online service. One thing the article didn't mention was marketing. Where MS largely failed to market the xbox, they've done a good job this gen.

I think it is perhaps overrated. But for its time this game was a masterpiece. Good story, unbelievable graphics,(even if most of it was pre-rendered backgrounds)and wonderful music. Yes this was one of the first rpgs I really played by myself, and it blew me away back when I was a kid. Now I can take a look at it with a more experienced eye and note its faults and shortcomings, yet it still remains one of my favorite rpgs.

I know I'll get a lot of disagrees, but I never really liked the character design of Tetsuya Nomura. I've really enjoyed most of the Final Fantasy games but the characters weren't really the reason. He puts too much emphasis on colorful, zipper-laden clothing, and androgynous lead male characters with gravity defying angular hair. Like I said, I know I'm going to get mass disagrees as many FF fans enjoy Nomura's work, but this is just my opinion.

The new screens aren't very inte...

It looks okay. It's basically like Ninja Gaiden with lots of QTE sequences. I did think the part where you're running(falling) down the side of the building was pretty cool though.

Yeah I was foolish and went there first. Then I went to Target and they had more than enough copies.

preordering is for chumps. I don't go to stores like gamestop or gamecrazy anymore because of all this push for preordering. What's more, these stores only stock games based on the number of preorders a game gets. Your best bet is to order online or to go to best buy or something.

Wowsers is that thing ugly. I wonder what application the twisting would be for. Maybe like motorcycle acceleration or something.

If only it did those numbers over here. I guess most people in western countries aren't big fans of japanese culture.

This game like Odin Sphere has a very striking art style. I wonder if the control is better than Odin Sphere's though. The slowdown in that game was terrible and cost me many boss fights because of it.

It looks heavily inspired by the elder scrolls like king's field was so thats interesting. I don't see the need to display what you have equipped on the screen as it just clutters up the screen though. Regardless of that, if there is a lot of customization of skills and weapons, I'll definitely check this out, as the setting already intrigues me. What I'm not quite sure of is if this is going to be a roguelike game, where if you die you lose all equipment and go back to the start.
