I don't know enough about this game yet to actually be excited for it.
Different strokes for different folks. I respect the author's opinion, but I don't think he should state his case as if everyone should feel the same way he does. I loved Fallout 3 personally, even after having played the classic games on PC.
He put out some remarkable revolutionary games during his tenure at Sega. It's too bad one of his greatest efforts was largely ignored.
They should get the Ys games on there. They're relatively simplistic and a lot of fun to play.
I really don't care how the game is received. If I like it, is all that really matters. I've learned from the past not to get overhyped for games.
I think you need to read the article again because it doesn't say that Ready At Dawn is making the game. It says:
"Will GoW3 be fun? Abso-friggin-lutely. I have the utmost faith in the developers to make a fantastic product that is not only drop dead gorgeous, but fluid and engaging as well."
The guy isn't saying the game's gonna suck, he's saying it's likely to disappoint some people which it probably will.
Some of those maps look pretty small to be supporting 256 players, but the game looks alright.
I think he looks more like Vin Diesel myself.
This series has been around for awhile. I wonder why it's only now coming under fire?
I wonder how many people actually read the article?
By the sound of Cole's voice the evil route seems the most natural one to take. His voice practically drips menace.
I was wondering when this announcement would show up.
Also the official FFVII remake is on its way. :0
They'll have to call it Tales of Vesperia Sigma...
I kid, I kid.
I think it's great that both platforms are getting this game, but I will probably get the PS3 version. Not because I think it will be much better, but because it was the primary platform it was developed for.
I never played the Hulk game made by these guys, and if it was anything like this game I'm sad I didn't. While I am a bit worried about the seeming lack of story, the actions that you can perform in this game look incredible. Running along the side of the building and then plunging that spear thing into the helicopter did it for me. The body skating part was pretty awesome as well.
Whereas Infamous looks more like a story oriented game, this one seems more open ended and less sc...
I think it just seems too good to be real. The background looks fantastic whereas the gun looks a little blurry. Also in the description it says it's a tech demo, so that's probably not real gameplay. I don't think it's fake though.
The $60 standard is stupid. There are some games that deserve to be sold for no more than $20 yet are still sold for the set standard, just because they are new. Yes, some games are worth $60 and I'm happy paying that, but the majority of games are not.
That score is what The Elder Scrolls III : Morrowind averaged and it was a fantastic game. I'm sure if you like blisteringly difficult hardcore dungeon crawlers, you'll love this game.
btw, I'm not comparing Morrowind to Demon's Souls, just the scores.
From what I've seen the game looks fun, but there are still some questions I have regarding the gameplay. How many different powers will Cole have? How much variety is in the missions? Is it a truly open world? Given it's recent disaster setting I wonder how many diverse side missions will be available? Crackdown was fun because of the immense freedom it offered, but the story was practically nonexistent. The story already looks decent for inFamous, I just hope it offers the same dimension of...
This game isn't really an rpg, which is probably why it hasn't sold so well. It's a strategy rpg which is a relatively niche genre. I only played the demo and I actually enjoyed it, but strategy rpgs just aren't to my liking.
