I actually greatly enjoyed the first one. The accuracy was quite good. Despite that, I don't really care, since I haven't played it in ages.
"where would one buy a 60gb ps3?"
From me, for $1000.
j/k its not for sale.
You want people to upgrade and buy your PS3, having backward compatibility is a large incentive.
The only reason I bought a PS3 was because it was backward compatible.
I agree with you on the fighters, but playing RPGs is the same, as the control schemes are practically identical. Unless you're talking about Tales games, and you use the D-pad for combos...?
Don't care much about using PS3 controller for 360 but would be interested for the other way around for FPS.
Yes the D-pad sucks but I prefer the trigger and bumper combination on the 360 pad to that of the PS3 one. The PS3 triggers are not good in my opinion.
If you're worried about buying crappy games, then yes you should definitely read reviews or get an idea of the game first. Usually if a game is panned universally by critics, then it probably is a bad game.
I don't mean getting 7/10 either, I'm talking like 5s or lower, as I've played some pretty fun games that had low review scores.
Turn based JRPGs with next-gen graphics:
-Lost Odyssey - 360
-Eternal Sonata - 360 PS3
-Blue Dragon - 360
-The Last Remnant -360
-Enchanted Arms - 360 PS3
Whether those are good or not, I leave up to you, but they have next-gen graphics and are turn-based. Granted only Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon have the true "old-school" combat system.
If those don't do it for you, I'm afraid you're out of luck because games like thos...
This is sort of looking like the 3D Castlevania title for the PS2, especially Curse of Darkness, in the combat at least. It also looks like Two Worlds which came out a couple years ago. I certainly hope it's better than that game, because it was a huge disappointment.
So is it free-roaming ala Two Worlds, or more like Curse of Darkness with separated environments?
Pretty good idea about Hulu, but usually the picture quality isn't that great.
I'll stick with my PC. The PS3 web browser is slow and cumbersome, and other OSs dont work very well on it. Besides with many PC games you can fine tune and modify them, the PS3 can't.
I suppose if you had no other alternative, the PS3 could work as a "poor mans PC," but an actual computer trumps it by a long shot.
Screw that I want both.
I at least know something about how XIII plays, but I still have absolutely no clue as to how Versus is going to play. If its like crisis core I guess that'll be okay, but if its anything like dirge, keep me the hell away. I know its being done by the Kingdom Hearts team and those games were pretty good, but not for their combat; that part sucked balls. Great story but the combat was lame.
So to be honest I'm not really excited about Versus, because all I've seen of it is pre-ren...
MS made a huge mistake trying to compete with the ipod. Zune's a decent Mp3 player, but it aint no ipod.
"HOW can you expect for sony to up and gain an EXTRA 6-8 million in 2 barley 2 years huh? that would be a freakin MIRACLE if it did.."
Yeah I guess you're right about that, looking at the ridiculously expensive price tag. :)
I really enjoy my PS3, but the fact of the matter is, is that it's in third place. Is it a better console than 360? For the most part, yes it is. But one cannot also deny that the original Xbox was superior to the PS2 in both tech and innovation. I loved my xbox for that reason and that is why I now love the PS3 for the same reason. Unfortunately technical superiority does not always guarantee the most sales, and sales are what indicate industry leadership.
What genuinely surprises me is the fact that Fallout 3 is one of the PS3's top sellers in Japan right now. Its an incredible game, but I didn't think Japan would take to it.
he wasn't referring to the linked website, he was referring to the one this article came from. Gamezine.co.uk. Think about your comments before you post.
wow those are some lame requirements
Streets of Rage was one of the best beat'em ups of all time. Now if only they had the Revenge of Shinobi. You fought spiderman, godzilla, and the terminator; that game was crazy.
@pawnsause
yeah that game was awesome, but still this collection demands a purchase from nostalgic sega fans.
Yeah and I do charity work and I play GTAIV.
