I think MS has to show all those games off to hype them and to give people more info on how they are shaping up. MS didn't reveal much for 08 so it's about time they give the fans something.
GDC should be great for all fans.
This is the third time this thread is it not? By the way I haven't met a single PS3 person that fits your descriptions. I have met tons of 360 people that fit pretty much the only mold that console has to offer. We all know what that is.
PS3 sold more than 360 did in its first year? It's easy to reach 10 mil first with a year head start and no competition.

Excellent point about the garbage on t.v. How many "adults" just fall into the couch for several hours every night and watch t.v. until bed? That's supposed to be better?
But 360 definitely has more. More than that 360 people were talking bad about the PS3 long before PS3 people even had anything to say. I find that now the PS3 people have ammunition to fire back 360 people start complaining and saying the site is overrun eventhough for a while it was all anti-PS3. From what I've seen the 360 folks are worse.
I do enjoy the flaming from both sides though as it's always good for a laugh.
Would it better if we stopped playing video games and started... collecting stamps, playing bridge, golfing, etc. I'm 26, engaged, have my doctorate, a great job and love video games. Would it be different if I went golfing on the weekends? That's a game like video games are games. I think it's just the stigma. My fiance has no problem with me playing for a few hours now and then so why should this chick? Does she think we don't accomplish anything because we are into video games? Just stupid...
The true cost will be a mystery. Do any companies ever release cost numbers? I don't recall seeing it discussed for any other game except Halo3 which mostly was on the marketing side.
As far as the managerial stuff this sounds like total bs. If that were truly the case Sony would have brought in some people to whip them into shape by now. They wouldn't just blow that off. No company would. But we'll never know that side either.
A Killzone movie would be sweet. They are talking about a Gears movie so I say go with killzone too. Both would get me in the theatre.
But opinions will vary. I really liked the first killzone and am anxiously awaiting KZ2. Never played liberation. The only thing that really disappointed about Lair was the control scheme which just had a steep learning curve. H3 was supposed to be this excellent game but actually disappointed me a lot. MP is the only aspect I had fun with but honestly I got bored with it after a few days. COD4 is a lot more fun in my opinion. No matter what when this game comes out some people will hail it a...
But I think it will be worth it. I love COD4 but by no means does it look as good as KZ2 does. I think GDC will prove it even more. The engine with all it's tech stuff is where the money is going. They could have finished it and released the game already but they are pushing technology which is what takes all the resources. I have to think they are planning on selling the engine when all is said and done so the R&D expense could be more than covered in the future.
I've never heard such an unbiased comment from him. That was actually level-headed with non-fanatical opinions (nothing wrong with having an opinion) espressing his take on the games. I'm impressed. Hopefully this is the future of this site.
To see this and KZ2 (hopefully Insomniac shows a vid). Both look to be completely unbelievable experiences. Both are taking games to a whole new level.
It has been common knowledge for quite some time that PS3 is the more powerful of the consoles. Yes you could argue that the 360's GPU is a little more powerful but the CELL trumps both the GPU and processor of the 360. Now add in the RSX and the fact that the system was designed TO WORK TOGETHER!!! PS3 is the most powerful console hands down and this proves it. A number of games have shown it with Heavenly Sword's number of enemies on screen, R&C:TOD with it's physics, Warhawk and Resist...
Will no doubt sell off of the previous one alone. Add the marketing that MS does so well and you have a huge seller in the making.
The PS3 version is everything it should be. Please do it right.
This game looks too good. Insomniac get my vote for developers of the next-gen at this point. With all the features this game looks to crack out along with fine tuning the looks I don't think any of us will be disappointed. Now lets see a trailer a GDC please.
P.S. Where are all the xbox people? Aren't they supposed to be here claiming how superior 360 is? I do enjoy the impersonations @ 24, 50, & 50.3
I find it hard to believe that this game wouldn't be coming to the 360. This was supposed to be a big one. The line-up takes a hard hit if it doesn't arrive. Maybe they'll have something at E3 but it does look grim at this point.
