I find myself in the paradox that I prefer physical copies of games, movies etc. but enjoy the instant gratification of downloading things from home and getting access. Particualry I enjoy finding things I can otherwise not find in a physical form in a store.
Demos etc. are great as downloadables but I'd get no satisfaction of ownership with some game file on a hard drive. I still bought the Oblivion Game of the Year version even though I had most the content, for example.
Thanks, I'm glad there's relevance. I was really worried I had a strange blue ray dvd instead of the game when there was that 'cooking in a war zone' show...
I've got the game and am very impressed with the presentation but early on (I admit) I'm really not liking having to stop playing for another cut scene...The game has got me so revved to play and then....another cut scene....
I only ever played a bit of MGS on my PS2, so I'm not initiated to the game's style obviously (I liked the original Splinter Cell better at the time). There are a lot of details put in there and the environment is fantastic, but what's with the silly ads in...
Yeah well at least over here Sony dropped backwards compatibility: my 40gig PS3 does not play PS2 games. Sucks!
I think a great many 360 owners like different games than what predominantly seem to be made for the system...diversity is a good thing. I think with more RPG and RTS games coming they have a good selection. Sports, racers, shooters, action, etc. Games like Carcassonne, Soduku, and Zuma also add diversity of experience.
It's good to be an Australian too (without the patriot act).
The success of any other Wii-like add-on will depend on the games for it: if Micorsoft's has better games then it will do better, if Sony has better games for theirs they will do better. No use having a useless remote for crap titles. Microsoft and Sony really aren't reaching the casual market and have seen how Wii has...for them to have a well rounded experience they need some more casual titles.
So nothing beyond the obvious then? Subtle codename! We've had the 'gravity gun' in a game, now we've got a 'gravity remote'.
Did you know that the rumour now had a name (Newton) a month ago? I doubt it. Is that a reference to anything, does anybody know?
Or you could say that they are being flexible enough to incorporate any successful stuff from others....
Sony has the silly (so far) motion control six axis...that wasn't terribly original either. I think everyone copies everyone...the analogue stick came from Nintendo's N64 remember. It just makes sense to appeal to as many as possible.
Yeah you do wonder why some make these sorts of comments only to have to eat their words down the road. I do think the Wii could become redundant though if this is as good or better with software support. I'm really not that impressed with the titles on Wii.
Think there'll be a 360-fit next?
I wonder if more quality games would get made for a 360 wii-mote than there has been on the Wii. I swear my Wii just sits there until some non-gamer friend comes over to play Wii sport (still) or my wife and her many sisters do Wii fit.
Yeah...I wonder if N4G will be deserted during that MGS4 coma! I'm still waiting for my copy!
I'll give the movie a try if it comes out here in OZ.
Gotta love Neverwinter!!
Maybe they will get Jean Reno involved too!!! Ha ha...that would be funny.
This looks like it could be a fun little game. I'm really pleasantly surprised at how many strategy games are making it to 360. I can't wait to buy Civilization Revolution after playing the demo.
I really hope that this game turns out to be good. Looks like it needs some graphical polish, but the location being away from the USA (thank God) for once should be a fantatic change for an open-world car related game.
I, or members of my immediate family (sons), own every console and handheld out there. I mostly buy 360 games and use my PS3 as a blu ray player, but it's games I want to experience: One of my favourite games in the last couple years is Uncharted on PS3. I've got MGS4 on the way, and even though I've not been a big fan in the past, I think this one may be special.
Fanboys think they are being loyal. What they are actually doing is missing out on great games on other consoles. ...
Wondering why? This game looks to have great potential and there aren't enough of this game type out at the moment...I'm definitely buying it.
Yes we need cheap UNLIMITED and FAST internet all over OZ....Optus made me pay a fortune when I accidentally went over my limit.
