That's absolute rubbish. This has been Microsoft plan all along. Once subscribers are up to a 100 million plus the 2nd hand game market will be mostly gone which Microsoft was hoping to achieve on the original Xbox One but it obviously backfired.
Microsoft does the same with Office & Office 365.
Instead of the highs & lows of games release sales Gamepass is a constant income.

I could have bought a PS5 but I went with an Xbox Series X, I could have bought both. Basically I bought an Xbox Series X because of Gamepass, there's so much on there for me that I can't keep up with all the games so I have no need for anything else.
Some people don't realise how much of a game changer Gamepass is eventually going to be.

I know lots of friends who are paying full price for Gamepass they love it. Its £10.99 for ultimate & I find it great value.
When blockbuster Video was around it was £2 & £3 to rent a game for a couple of days. I'd spend way more at Blockbusters per month than Gamepass.
Plus you can still buy The Village & Assassins Creed just like you have to on PS5.
Gamepass is an excellent option
Units sold is becoming less relevant by the month. Microsoft isn't expected to outsell Sony this generation, Microsoft just wants Gamepass on as many devices as possible. If Sony sells 25 million PS5s by this time next year but Gamepass has 50 million subscribers by then, who's winning.

Tell that to Sega & it's Saturn & then it's Dreamcast console. Sony obliterated Sega with it's huge marketing spend & developer deals. They had a ton more money & totally out spent Sega.

Where's your source on that. Back when Gamepass had 10 million subscribers Microsoft did say its not profitable yet. I've never heard them say they lose lots of money on Gamepass.

Waverider, its not just Xbox channels its getting praise, there's even Sony fans saying it was a good show & are thinking of Getting a Xbox S or X.
What's wrong with all the games coming to Gamepass. Most can't afford to buy all those games they'll be lucky to afford 2 or 3, now you can play 27 out of 30 of them for a bargain price. Its great for gamers.

The social media & youtube are all very positive about the Xbox show. They are saying its their best show since the 360 days. I've watch a few after show YouTube videos & their giving the show mostly Bs plus even a couple of As.
Theres not many places it's being talked down apart from the usual suspects on N4G as per usual.
30 games 27 of them coming to Gamepass day one. That is awesome for me.
A few of the usual suspects are saying it was mostly all cgi. Well I'd say that the majority of the games showed gameplay there was only a few that didn't.
I must have watched a different show to some on here.
Hopefully someone will put a list up of every game shown & Mark the ones that showed gameplay & the ones that didn't.
I loved the show. Gamepass has me locked in for 2 years minimum.
For me that's the best show ever. All those games that are coming to Gamepass day one aswell. Gamepass is going to be even more amazing. Forza day 1 is ridiculous I can't wait for that. Halo looked great. There were so many I'm really looking forward to, there's no way I could buy all those games Gamepass is going to be huge...
