I'd be very surprised if Sony makes a Gamepass competitor & release their 1st party games onto it day one.
This is a game of chess between Microsoft & Sony & I don't think Sony will fall for it.
If you get most ppl onto Gamepass & Sonys equivalent Microsoft will then have the upper hand. Its who can buy in the most exclusives further down the line & Sony doesn't ever want to get into a bidding war with Microsoft.
Xbox Series X for me, I'm playing games I'd never of considered buying plus all them 1st party games day one on Gamepass is an incredible deal.
I will still buy the occasional game that I like but Gamepass is my main way to play.

Gamepass is going to be huge. There's has not been many exclusive since the Series X & S has come out but even if there were 10 brand new exclusive games in the first couple of months Microsoft wouldn't have sold any many more consoles as you still can't buy the X anywhere.

I don't agree that Gamepass is unsustainable. I think Jim Ryan might of thought this awhile back thinking Gamepass would be lucky to get to 3 million subscribers in the first year or so.

Outriders looks great to me especially because it's on Gamepass, if I don't like it, it doesn't matter to much as I have a hundred other titles to try.

Gamepass really seems to get to you. If you don't like it just go & buy your games as you can still do that on an Xbox.
It's a cheaper option & eventually the Series X will come down in price to as low as £129.

Gamepass is amazing superb value. I can see Microsoft doing this with a lot more 3rd party titles.
This reminds me of when Sega was bringing out the Sega Saturn up against the much bigger Sony with the PlayStation. Sony did really well to win & Sega then brought out their last console the Dream cast. It couldn't complete against the hype for the PlayStation 2. Sega didn't have the money Sony had. Sony could use the money from all their other divisions to get exclusive games & get the PlayStation 1 & 2 to become really successful.

Been trying to get an Xbox Series X every day since release date, its ridiculous. The scalpers prices have come right down but I refuse to buy from them even it they start selling at the same price.
