"Easier for MS to spin engagement numbers and gamepass numbers than actually being upfront with actual sales numbers"
It's obviously going to be Gamepass Gamepass Gamepass as that's what Microsoft wants everyone to be on, why are you so concerned about sales numbers.
Microsoft has Forza this month & the new Halo next month, that could put regular Gamepass subscribers up by perhaps 1 million. That's another 1 million customers paying around £10 ...
Why all the concern about most are probably playing on Gamepass.
Gamepass is what Microsoft wants people to use. Forza 5 & eventually the new Halo is going to make more people take out a Gamepass Subscription. It doesn't care which way you play it as long as Microsoft gets your money & Gamepass numbers keep going up they are happy.
Four of my friends have just took out a Gamepass Subscription just to play Forza. They didn't go the £1 root they took out ...
I've always thought Sega would make a great partner to Microsoft. Not just for their great games but as Microsoft doesn't do very well in Japan I think a Sega branded Xbox Series X & S console that looks quite a bit different & not just a skin would be a great asset.
This is a Promotion. It gets more people to give Gamepass a try. Can't see anything negative about that.
Yes the games coming to PC are two & three years old but it's the start of something.
That window will soon drop to just one year & eventually you'll have a one off game come to PC 3 months after PlayStation & eventually you'll have a same day release to test the waters. It's how it usually happens, if Sony thinks it can make a wad more money its enevitable..
It is very early days for Gamepass if they keep on gaining subscribers like they have been they will be fine.
Comparing Gamepass to Film streaming services like Netflix don't work. An individual game can make a lot more money than an individual film as you can usually buy extra stuff for the game plus you can still buy the game digitally aswell through Microsoft.
"But if Microsoft is struggling to get Game Pass where it wants, it will have a strong sales hook 13 months from now with the release of Bethesda's highly anticipated exclusive “Starfield.”
I think they will have a huge boost with Forza 5 & Halo next month.
The Xbox One sold really well in the first year it struggled after that. If Xbox Series Consoles continue to sell this well they'll easily outsell Xbox One.
The Series S version only holds 2 cans lol
Yes a very good game on the CDi.
If Gamepass carries on like this it's definitely going to make xbox system seller.
This time next year Gamepass is going to be even more of a great deal & hopefully see the Series S selling for £199.
Interesting times...
Good post of46. Its ridiculous it's like every fanboy has suddenly got amnesia.
It's all totally idiotic like you said.
Waverider. The title of this thread is, The PlayStation 5's SSD storage expansion is needlessly complicated.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with the specs in any way.
Yes you'd love to change the subject as the Microsoft way of adding storage is way less complicated.
Can't you just accept it.
By the way. The specs on the PS5s ssd are higher than the Xboxs but for loading in games it doesn't seem any faster because Microsoft has quick resu...
Wow you spout some rubbish.
Can't you just accept that plugging in the extra storage on an Xbox Series console is a much simpler method than what you have to do on a PS5? It obviously is so just accept it or seek help.
With Xbox Series you just plug in.
It's not particularly complicated it's just way more of a hassle compared with the competitors way of doing it.
Wow great score.
Aqua. That's not the point that there's other subscription services.
The point is units sold doesn't mean the same thing as it once did.
Gamepass PSnow etc prove it.
If Sony get to 50 million PS5s sold in the next few years & Microsoft get to 30 Million Series Consoles sold what will it matter if Gamepass maybe has 50 million + subscribers.
Units sold doesn't mean the same thing as it once did. Your not looking at the bigger picture.
Sony is doing great this generation but I really think Gamepass on Xbox is going to cause problems for Sony eventually.
I'm only going by friends of mine, 3 of them are die hard Sony fans & they would never buy an Xbox, they had the PS5 on release day but the 3 of them have recently bought an Xbox Series X or S just because of Gamepass. I never thought I'd see the day.
