I can understand people saying MS won or Sony won but this whole "hands down" thing smells of XBot fanyboyism all the way.
MS was flashier with more marketing, Sony was more subtle with developers showcasing technology. Whatever floats your boat.
Personally I thought the Natal marketing hype was hilarious and perfectly targeted at 13 year old girls. For me, I prefer stuff like God of War III to "girl talk online", cough, I mean project Natal.....
I don't get how MS won going up against GoW3, Uncharted 2, GT5, Ratchet, and even Fat Princess.
I've been playing the Uncharted 2 MP beta and it's awesome. If the SP game is as good as Uncharted 1 we're looking at a game of the year.
Since when should winning be about the hype rather than the games. Did MS just have better music and more colors at their show?
Well, I know who won it for me. I own all 3 consoles and my first place easily goes to Son...
News flash, real driving is even more realistic...
First they were demonstrating it's precision (not accuracy) with it is obviously very precise. Any inaccuracy was due to the developer just not aiming well.
Natal is targeted at casuals and non-gamers and may have some cool gamer software. PS3 motion control can be used with all kinds of games but non-gamers may not be interested.
Assuming the people on this site are gamers, the PS3 version will obviously work better for most games. Natal may have a few things that involve using your legs that PS3 can't do.
Hmm, I see the same thing with XBots and the RROD, except multiplied by 1000...
Actually if you go to Sony's forums PS3 fans are happy to throw Sony under the bus when the hardware fails.
I agree. XBot fanboys tend to stupidly loyal even after their 4th RROD.
Lame list. Star trek fans are harmless, Sega fans were lame but its dead now and where are the XBot and PS fanboys?
This article is wrong. Playstation Edge is available to 3rd party studios. The issue is that it's PS3 specific. It's not a multi-platform engine like Unreal, etc... That's why multi-platform games don't get great benefit from it. Sony has a different engine that is for multi-platform (including DirectX) but I forget the name.
PS3+PC only. No 360, most likely no mac.
Parts are unreadable (video, list mode) and Sony is going through and deleting anyone who makes these comments on the forums. Crappy job in my opinion.
I like using a controller, is something wrong with that?
I still haven't finished MGS4...
No multi-player? Wow, how lame... Also no instruments this game is decent for a short plane ride but thats about it. I think its more a 5/10 given the price.
Gamespot is just jumping on the bandwagon here. Even if the game is worth a 9 which I'm not debating, Gamespot's integrity hasn't existed for a long time.
I'm not a big fan of the camera work and non-shooting controls of inFAMOUS. I'm actually suprised at all its great reviews. I've only however played the demo so perhaps it doesn't do the game justice.
I think these types of games are too subjective to compare to other games like GTAIV. I liked GTAIV because of the story and camera work. I really disliked the control scheme.
Hmm, that's some darn good clarifying right there.
Yes it is and so is Halo.
Give me a break. Of course it could run on the XBox. This is as bad as all the XBot fanboyz saying Crackdown was better...
It's great to hear people who don't play Ratchet say they are not AAA games but then you ask anyone who plays those games and they are one of their favorites. Ratchet & Clank Future: TOD is in my top 3 next gen games.
The metacritic for Ratchet is 89 and only 87 for Gears of War you XBot fanboys...
